This form has now been posted in Gotsoccer for teams to decide.

Team Coaches or Managers

Below is an informational form that will allow you to claim your bye for the 2016/2017 playing year. You will need to fill out ALL information accurately and correctly. This form MAY only be submitted ONCE. After April 30th all bye claims are FINAL.

Please Select Your Current Age Group and Division *
This field is required.
Please select your end of year (post playoff) rank within your division
What Bye Position Did Your Team Earn (Including Playoff Results) *
This field is required.
Coach Name *
Coach Email *
Current Manager Name: *
Current Manager Name: *
Will the Current Manager Listed Above be the Manager for the 2016/17 Year? * YES NO
Will your team return 75% As of your April 1st 2016 Roster?? * Yes No
Please Upload Your Official Roster that is dated on or before April 1st 2016. *
In this section, you will choose which age group bye your current team is claiming. You have TWO choices.

1. Take the bye with your youngest player.
If you select this choice, your current older players are not eligible for this team. For example. A current U11 05 team is comprised of 05 and 04 Birth year players. If you choose to take the bye with the youngest player, your team will be classified by your youngest player which is an 05 and your 04 players will not be eligible for the team. Younger players are eligible to play up on the team.

2. Take the bye with your oldest player.
If you select this choice your team will be classified by it's oldest players. For example, a current U11 05 team which is currently made up of 05 and 04 birth year players would be classified as an 04 team with your 05 players playing up on that team.

Select how you will advance your bye: *

By electronically signing this form by typing my name below and checking I AGREE, I certify that I am authorized to complete this form on behalf of the team listed and understand that all byes are reviewed by LHGCL. I also understand that completing this form does NOT guarantee my team a bye. All bye requirements as set forth by the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League Rules/Policies must be adhered too.

Just FYI... I think they attached the form to the wrong year, I found it under Lake Highlands Girls Classic League 2014/2015

So if they are leaving it to each team, what if if TeamA from "hypothetical bigclub" decides to play according to the oldest, and TeamB from same club decides to play according to the youngest, and then the two teams end up in the same division/same age group, and there aren't two earned byes in that division for the club to claim?  How then is that decided?

...maybe LH solving this issue on a case-by-case?

AGE PURE's effect on this forum??

...so how is age-pure affecting this forum?--when clearly each age-group now has historical posts and data for the current age-alignment...  Do I start reading-up or reading-down? scratch

Hypothetical Bigclub owns all club byes and doles them out as they see fit. In most cases, they will move teams as close to AP as they can. So moving the bye up or down is really just a numbers game for club with multiple byes at each age level. There will be new tryouts for each of the anointed coaches/teams at each age group. Team A will be using the Div I bye and Team B will be using the Div II bye.

Smaller clubs or teams in big clubs that are geographically isolated will make decisions more on a team basis. Again it comes down to numbers.

The 75% returning should be interesting as that would primarily only apply to teams moving their bye up. So if I earn a Div I this season and return 75%, then I get a Div I bye at the older age group. While if I only return 70%, then does my Div I become a Div II in older age group?

Yes interesting scenario.  And then if that 70%'er does get moved down, I'm sure that would be enough to cause many of your up-to-that-point stayer players (parents) to bail--or are they BOUND?

the 75% rule will only come into effect if a team looks to leave their present club. This whole age pure thing will more than likely limit movement of teams this summer. Agree or disagree its what I was told
