Congrats to D'Feeters on the Kicks merger. Hopefully it can be handled better than the Redstar merger last year and no byes will be lost in the process and players left in the dark. With JM coming over and the previous Redstar coach miraculously coming back, I hope there's not too many chief's in the 01'-00' clubhouse. Ask a lot questions parents during this time, your daughter's have earned the right.

Not saying there won't be any crossover of any sort, no one can know that at this time.  I do know Juans team will be staying together coached by Juan and The current team will be coached by HB and HB's current team will remain the ECNL team.  There are 30 roster spots on an ECNL squad, 18 can dress and generally at this age there are two or three injured, plenty of playing time to go around.  There are 24 Players on the Kicks Roster, so there 6 ECNL roster spots left open, plenty of playing time to go around. Some may be upset but there are upset parents every year on every team.

The reason for this partnership/merger was not for our 00/01 girls.  I agree they could use better competition but they have received plenty of exposure from top D1 schools.  The truth is, if you are good college coaches will find you. I've received plenty of emails, calls, text messages from top D1 schools about our girls. College coaches come out to our games and practices.  I have built a lot of good friendships with college coaches because they respect what we built as a club in NTX and the style of play our teams play.    The plan for our 00's and 01s is to be primarily showcase teams.   They want to stay together. They enjoy playing as a team.  We will support Dfeeters ECNL 00 and 01 teams in anyway we can, but our 00's do not want to join any 00 team and our 01's do not want to join any 01 team. They want to play as an 00/01 team.  

If any 00/01 player is interested in coming out please give me a call.  We have already added some good players to the team.  We will play National league and take another team to same showcase tournaments to make sure players are given every opportunity to be on the field in showcase events.
