Quick Q re age pure and "U[age number]" terminology

So, for example, if a dd is turning 15 next Spring (an Age Pure 2002), for the 2016-2017 season, will she be U15 like normally would?  

That would mean that a 2002 age pure girl born in Fall that is 13 at the start of the 2016-17 season is in U15?

So essentially, that 13yr old jumps up to U15 if she plays Age Pure, skipping the U14 classification. Correct?

...and do most people get the feeling their is a real push for your kid to stay age pure rather than playing up (if their team chose the older age-group route and you're D's is one of the younger members of the team)? Although I'm seeing several girls that are attempting to play up. With that being said, is there a benefit for a girl to play up and resist the age pure pressure coming from the clubs/coaches?

so if their team decided to play up, what kind of "pressure" from WHAT coaches and clubs??? competing ones?  of course. if your daughter is one of the younger ones on a club that is pushing up, then of course there would be a lot of clubs wanting her to stay age pure, and join them to beef up their AP team as she would be one of the older.  maybe i misunderstand your question.  most EVERY team is putting pressure on girls to either join them in moving up, or stay AP.  seems to me there are many more pushing up than staying AP, but i would not be surprised to see a reversal of that in the next two years as the older girls get closer to 18.

The benefit of playing up is facing likely bigger, stronger, faster competition. Aside from that, the chance to stay with a current team and friends would also be a benefit, albeit less measureable.
Once the girls get to high school they will possibly be playing girls 3 or more years their senior. Playing up can be beneficial in preparation for that...
