Any idea why they cancelled tonight games for King Tut? It seems they pulled the plug a little early. Sun is out over by Money Gram and things are drying up. Disappointing. Oh well, saves me money on parking. Very Happy

Typically these are called by the field management not tourney. But yes, premature.

what games were canceled. i just glanced at it and i didnt see one game at money gram scheduled for today...

They've already removed them from the schedule. There were several 6:00 PM games scheduled.

And, they haven't rescheduled those cancelled games yet. Games at Toyota are still on and they had more rain than at Moneygram. Go figure....

Parking was horrible at moneygram. Ease up on the landscaping and put in some parking. Even the grass lot was full since they roped it off smaller than the field. FCD obviously doesn't care about girls soccer, it's just a money machine for them. Another poor showing from FCD.

I didn't have one problem parking. Front row at our field and no charge to park st MG. Ref was even good.

Still not happy about the cancelled games. The only 2 games were missing from the whole U11 Silver group. They can't even find the fields and refs to make it?

So any chance the cancelled games from Friday will be rescheduled? I realize it may not be viable but some teams will play 4 games and other teams only 3. With LHQT coming up we could certainly use the extra game and it appears the results of these games will weigh heavily for QT seeding considering many teams don't have a history. Does anyone know?

The only answer we got so far is "The games have been cancelled due to weather." I guess FCD doesn't really care about youth soccer.

Because they cant funnel the best players to their professional system. Girls soccer means nothing to them. Just a money source to support the boys. The games won't be rescheduled because of this.

Every club cancels tournaments at the last minute. I have no affiliation with FCD and none of my kids have played there but if you think any of these clubs put your kid first then you are delusional. As far as I know the academy and select teams do not make FCD a big profit.

heard FCD gave a refund to the teams that had games cancelled last Friday. I was told they had puddles and were vacuuming them up into Friday evening to get the fields playable for Saturday games.
