ODP & Select Question Empty ODP & Select Question

Post by Switchfoot 25/07/16, 04:20 pm

I know ODP is either loved or hated on this forum but was wondering if a release is required for ODP tryouts and If any major scheduling conflicts with teams leagues occurred? How do must coaches feel about their players trying out etc. Any insight would be helpful.

ODP & Select Question Empty Re: ODP & Select Question

It has been a good experience for my DD. Just understand that it is just another opportunity to be trained by different coaches and play with different players. It's not a path to the National Team.

No release needed since it is run by North Texas Soccer as long as they are already registered in NTSSA. ODP has rules that state in case of conflict then your club team comes first. They just ask that you communicate those conflicts so they can plan accordingly.

10 training sessions each year are run on Sunday afternoons. You are required to attend 40% of trainings to remain eligible to attend Subregional games and camps.

Coaches like/dislike ODP by varying degrees. Our club team has historically had 8-9 players involved since they could first participate. In my daughters age group we had several players from ECNL teams but those tend to drop off as they get older.

Give me a diablo sandwich, a Dr Pepper, and make it quick. I'm in a god-damn hurry.
