Hey Guys --

If you're asking me, I have not heard this but do know that Solar will have both GDA and FDL next year.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised however, if we see an announcement from Solar (and/or FCD) in the near future that is similar to the one HN just put out.

I just stopped by the McDonald's off of 635 and the DNT and when you order Hotcakes and a large coffee you get a free membership to ECNL. Just an FYI to my LPFC and Fever friends. Wink

SO...if DT South goes to Solar, do we change the acronym from DTS to SS? Surprised

Its funny how we as parents paint the wrong picture to our kids...

My daughter's friend told her "It sucks that the girls that suck have to play ECNL and school soccer is a waste of time..." My daughter told her thats not true and gave examples of girls that were good that play ECNL. Her friend went on to express that ECNL players wont get scouted by colleges and thats going to suck for them....

I told my daughter, "thats just her dad talking....pay it no mind."

Watch what you say parents before your kid offends the wrong one.

Yall wait on that DTS thing....its a lot of strategy involved.

Think about the "value" of DTS on the girls side....cant speak on the boys side.

Acquiring DTS would almost be the same as FCD bringing LW over.

Solar would get that awesome'05 group that could probably beat FCD's 05 group.

Same with the '06 group.

and the academy groups are doing and will do pretty well.

Solar seems to have their more "qualified" coaches in place already so lets see how they pry the talent from GA's grasp...if anybody could do it, AS could. Solar has the showcase accolades to present that would intrigue almost any parent.

Would this move shake the foundation of DT and possibly make them sort of like D'Feeters?

Interesting for sure, but geography plays a roll here.

How do you combine DTS and Solar girls from Frisco/Plano areas. Who gets to drive an hour plus at rush hour? Will DTS girls have to drive to JPII, lewisville or Allen at 6pm on a week night? Or a Frisco/Plano(or worse some live in Denton/Rockwall/Mckinney) kid drive to HP? Or does Solar just give The South ECNL and DA and DA2 are for northern girls. IF South were only in it for ECNL, Feet makes more sense. Driving to FB is same as Ross Stewart. So GA/SA must want DA in some way to hook up with The Solar Empire.

I wish Solar would establish some training options that are more centrally located to provide more viable options for players who live in Dallas proper. Though, 161 near Ross Stewart isn't exactly central.

Solar practiced in Greenhill before which is pretty much centralized. However north is better for me.

Yes, Greenhill is a pretty good option, but they only seem to have it for the older DDs. I don't think there are any Solar options for academy age DDs. Some of the clubs should also look at Hockaday. That school has tons of land and some beautiful fields. I don't know if the school would rent the space, but wow, they have some very nice fields just like Greenhill does.

Tons of value in DTS for sure. You would think that their "top" coaches would have obtained proper licensing to grow with the talent by now... but...
