What happened to the open letter concerning this Coach posted on here at 1:52 AM last night?

Don't know, but channel 8 just reported there is a marauding band of 14 yr old girls in solar uniforms marching toward JP2 now. Eyewitness reports said they were ripping off the heads of mini me dolls and throwing a-1 bottles at bystanders. Chants of down with mini-me were heard from a distance.

Profanity. I told the poster he can repost a censored version. I have no connection to the team, age group, or coach. The language used is not allowed to be posted on the site, even if quoting a coach.

Does this really surprise anyone? Given Kennington's multiple arrests for assault in both Dallas and Collin county, I am surprised Solar still allows him to coach children. But, what do I know, I am sure it is common for adults to get arrested / charged in a few counties for a good ol fight or two, or three. Those pesky A1 bottles tend to present themselves in an aggressive manner.

I have no clue what Joey has or hasn't done (I don't know him,) but I do know that there are a lot of parents out there with really thin skin. Also, in this situation there have been a few bruised egos. I'm not saying that a coach should be able to humiliate his/her players, but a little tough love is needed from time to time.

Agree with tough love, when the need arises.
There is a difference though, in tough love v downright ridicule and beratement . And of course, this isnt the first age group,club or season, in which this scenario has happened, with said coach. I hope the parents involved, this year, stand strong and do whats best for their girls. Will be interesting to see if Solar takes any action.

Letter pulled again?

When a coach is really good at what they do, people can take some of this type of stuff because of the value that coach brings on the soccer side.

However, when you are a complete idiot and you are terrible on the soccer side, its time to run away. For the life of me, I can't understand what would bring anyone to have their kid play for this guy.

I want to be just like coach. A role model for my kids.

Can anyone provide text message screenshots between the Coach/parent, or Manager/parent. That would be most useful. Also, if you could have a girl GoPro practice and post it on YouTube, everyone would enjoy that too.

Admin, why do you keep deleting the letter informing readers what occurred? Are you deleting it because the described behavior is that bad? If so, doesn't that make it even more important for parents to see so they can make informed choices for their kids? Admin, you know tryouts are right around the corner, so why are you choosing to keep parents in the dark?

Who will they be talking to?   Players / parents kicked off the team?  Those implied by another poster to be "thin-skinned" parents/players who just can't take a little "tough love"?  Current players who would never speak out against a coach who seems clearly capable of retaliation?


Who is performing the review?  Hopefully not the same Solar coach who misled a coach and team players/parents last week when he told them they would be moving to FDL, when he knew that was likely not to be the case.

Solar states that their "main purpose is to nurture the talent of all players.  Our goal is to combine soccer with education to develop the character of every player."


Maybe they need to focus on the character development of some of their coaches.

Whether the letter gets reposted or not, the truth is already out. It was also out last year and the year before, but no one above him, had the backbone to stand up and do something about it. Some parents did and some did not and in the end. Its the kids that suffer the most. It t is easy for a coach to keep this type of behavior, when everyone above him just closes their eyes and pretends nothing has happened. I would hope the club now would do something about it, but the track record proves otherwise .

Solar has his players now, so easy to dispose of. Might depend on if solar needs him to coach. They do have 2 new coaches in the mix now.

I did not know the club took over the team. Lots of good talent on that team

We know the deal w this application. No one is fooled anymore. If this application is jaded for one purpose then there is no credibility.

What age group will the two brothers from DTS coach? Also, what league were they coaching in?
