Well I can only tell you my experience with the coach which was for several years and during that time he never abused my kid. He didn’t treat her like a snowflake, but like a mature young woman responsible for her own actions. She grew up a lot playing for him. I think what she liked the most was knowing what he expected from her and being held accountable to that. But nothing close to abuse ever.  Not for me or my kid. Just my experience.

I've coached against JK a few times and found him a very good coach. His players were very skilled and he was definitely not a hot head who let competition get the better of him like so many other coaches that I've run across.

Wasn't there but have a couple friends that were involved directly ... this didn't go down at all like what was described by the initial poster.  

And my sentiments exactly CBT -- I'd add that he's among the best trainers I've seen as well.

As a parent who not only had a kid involved, but was sitting in a chair watching it happen, I can tell you minus the specific language used, that is exactly what occurred.

As for soccer knowledge, absolutely he has made my kid better.
Behaviorally, he has also taught them that people in places of authority do not need a reason to be unreasonable.

Interesting insight. Just curious, what was the language that was used? I assume you are saying he did not curse at the players, correct?

Exactly what occurred except for the language used, as in he didn't use those words or you can not confirm that he used those words? I believe a large issue with the whole incident is the names he allegedly called the girls and the words he used. Kicking kids off a competitive team may or may not be abusive or wrong depending on the WHOLE story. But cursing them and degrading them with foul language is not ok.

However if he did not use those words, then how are we to believe much or any of the account, with salaciousness of the false narrative?

As someone who has been at this practice facility numerous times at when this team practices, it hard for me to see how this occured as stated when there is regularly 3-4 teams and at lest 20+ adults on site at all times. If this really occurred then WOW to all whole witnessed and/or investigated and turned a blind eye.
If it's not a true account then it's just sour grapes.

If the language is the only issue you take with what has been communicated. I'll happily tell you it would've made a sailor proud.
Did he use the term retard? no idea...
Did he berate teenage girls that had no understanding of what was going on, absolutely.

I can't speak to the specific language as I was not in the huddle with him and the girls. Solar has a parent corral I'm sure while attending practices you've noticed.

My grapes aren't sour, my kids are gone. My kids were the first to walk off after the "incident". We have our release and new team. It was a line we weren't OK with being crossed.

It's definitely a poor representation to the public if the club turns their back on these types of situations.

Here’s the deal-It is unfortunate the way things went down over the last couple of months. There was an incident similar to what was described, but there are a few versions of the story. I wasn’t there but my kid was. So I have to go by that version. Things were said, feelings were hurt, ties were broken. Some old, some new. Could’ve/should’ve been handled differently IMO, but nobody asked me. At the end of the day I think everybody achieved the result that they ultimately wanted so life goes on. I hated to see it play out like that tho. As far as Uncle Joey is concerned, he’s got his own methods that a lot of people don’t agree with including myself sometimes, but my kid will tell me when it’s time to move on and so will everyone else’s.
