Texans DA

Texans DA
I guess the rumors are true. Texans Red took the DA Fort Worth spot. That leaves an entire DA slot open. Not sure who/how they will fill it as the Texans don't seem to have very many 07 teams, but I would assume most of Stavrou's team would fill one of the slots. Might be a good opportunity for kids on other teams considering the DA path. I wonder if that will pull more kids off of other teams who were on the fence about staying with their Select teams.

Re: Texans DA
Do all of the Texans Red players have to start practicing in Fort Worth now? Or do they stay put in Dallas and it is a name change only?
I would have to imagine that it would be hard to retain most of their team if they had to move locations, DA or not.

Re: Texans DA
Doesn't that defeat the purpose here?
There was a mandate from US Soccer to expand DA accessibility in the Metroplex so that it is not so concentrated in North Dallas.
BY simply changing a Dallas team's name to DA West or DA Fort Worth accomplishes nothing....and it is a total disrespect to the reasoning behind USSoccer awarding the additional DA teams locally.
Hopefully this is not just a name change. Clearly Texans and Solar got caught off-guard here since it is still a cluster....I think Hassan at least had a plan....Adrian had absolutely NO PLANS in place....after he was turned down by a few coaches locally they now have very few options for coaches in their West DA platform...or South DA whatever they are calling it now.....
