LFC 06 Dalglish Classic D3: flo mo / lewisville / Carrollton

We placed 10th in classic D2 last season and have a place in D3 for 18/19. We are looking to add a few more quality, hard working boys (GK needed) as we transition to 11v11 to compete for the d3 championship.

PRACTICES:

Tues and Thurs - 5.45-7.15pm @ The branch church, Carrollton. A nice central location and easy to get to being right off Hebron and the 121.

How did you know you had a place in D3 in March? The Qualifying tournament was last weekend and ya'll didn't make it?

Ok, even if it was posted two days ago, this team did not qualify for D3. They lost in the tournament.

Clubs own the byes. Not uncommon to see teams in leagues/divisions that they didn’t necessarily earn, especially with the bigger clubs.

Thanks for explaining. So this team didn’t earn their way into D3, just got put there because Redknapp ‘06 is going ECNL, Gerrard ‘06 takes their spot in D1 and then there’s an open spot in D3 that Liverpool gets to fill. Think parents considering this team should know that too.

Eh, there will be lots of Classic teams playing in different divisions than what they earned. Nature of the beast. Doubt any parents really care as long as their precious BB gets to play in Classic.

I think its pretty safe to say no one likes the rules of the bottom 16 teams having to play a tournament to 'earn' their spot. A tournament is what it is, its 3 games and anything can happen.

If you have an 06 boy, bring them out, then maybe post from the right perspective. If you do not have an 06 boy then i see no reason to comment on this post with any such negativity that may affect 12yr old boys.

These are hard working boys who just want to play soccer and all we are doing here is simply asking players to come check us out. I am very confident we provide a great environment for development. So, i would like to politely and respectfully ask that this post remain about the boys.

I apologize, I didn't mean to come off as derogatory toward your team...my point was that this is very common to have teams shuffled among leagues and divisions. I don't understand what is so shocking with what is going on with your team. Best of luck in the upcoming year!

Sorry, i meant to quote rusty actually because their only posts of the forum appear be just negativity regards LFC. I did not think your post was derogatory at all. Good luck to you also.

Open practices again this week.
