Quick question. What happens to a player when they don't pay their club fees? Any repercussions?

If you are trying to stay with the team/club, at some point the club/coach will not allow the kid to play in games or participate in practices.

If you are leaving the team/club, you will almost never get a full competitive release from the club without paying out your full dues for the year.

If you are leaving the team/club, and don't care about getting a competitive release to join a different competitive team until next summer, then typically there will be no repercussions.  If you signed a payment agreement at the start of the season, technically the club could take you to small claims court to recoup any remaining money owed, but I've never heard of any of the larger clubs in the area doing that.  In the end, it's usually not worth their time, or the possible bad publicity, to do so.
