Post by soccerjohn4 16/04/19, 12:03 pm

I’m hearing rumors that Liverpool have lost the licensing and will not be able to use the name anymore in USA, can anyone confirm or deny this. Seams very odd if they have.
Also what has happened to Tom Blencoe he’s nolonger listed on the website.

LPFCA here in DFW didn't lose it's anything, but looks like they've decided to go with a different YourApeeIn club partner.

Blencoe is gone to Titans.

If you cannot get Klopp’s team, you get his former team?    It seems like they made that move a year too late if they wanted to cash in on a certain player before his departure to Chelsea.   I would have gone for the Bundesliga rival wearing blue and white Umbro kits.  There are several US players you could dangle as carrots with that team to bring in the cash.

Hmmmm that explains why on Monday morning I opened my email to find this little gem.....Shocked

Parents, please see note from Chief Executive Officer, Peter Brody

Parents,
Hello and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share some exciting news with you about our club. For the past few years we have operated with a gender specific leadership team that has served us well. The quality of that effort and the leadership has guided us to today and a realignment I believe whose time has come. It is one of our clubs’ key and most important goals to provide the best development of our players and the highest quality pathway teaching our players how to play the game to the best of their ability. In addition, we want to provide a real and genuine opportunity for player growth and pathway to achieve success at as high a level as the player can and they want to. In order to do that we are going to set in place a structure to compliment that goal and add the most value to our players and families and insure player success in all they strive to achieve. Each area or channel will have a highly qualified Director and Staff looking after that channel to allow maximum development and achieve the highest possible level of success. All the channels will “flow” in a similar direction that will allow players abilities to develop with no restrictions. Quality has to be the center piece of all we do, and I believe this structure will allow us to do that.

Effective immediately Colin Rocke has been promoted to Vice President of Soccer Operations and will oversee this transition and critical area.

Concurrently Nancy Lane is promoted to the position of Vice President of Commercial Operations with responsibility for all off field activities and programs both in Texas and with our affiliated clubs.

We will now be organized into vessels or pathways allowing players to pass from channel to channel according to their development. Our coaches will be educated and developed to provide the maximum tools to support and assist the players as they traverse the pathway.

The structure and reporting to Colin will be the following;

The foundation or Grassroots level of our club, a large and critical area that will house incoming and developmental teams as well as progress our existing teams will be headed up by Nick Soutar as the Director of Grassroots and Foundation development. These teams will predominantly play in developmental or entry level leagues. Nick will also work closely with our youngest area of development for our entry level teams through the first years of their playing experience.

Flowing forward from our Grassroots channel will be our P1 level which will be all our division 2 and 3 teams and this area will be headed up by our Director of P1 Mark Meredith.

Along these two areas both Mark and Nick will be working closely to allow progression and development of the players as they prepare and pass through, either as an entire team or individual players, progressing in their soccer development. Specifics metrics will be installed to insure no player or team is left out of the development process. We will also install at every level player feedback and evaluations, so no one will wonder how they are doing or what their next step is to develop.
Moving forward from our P1 will be our P2 area which will house our Division 1 teams in the club and players that will be moving into a more serious and committed level of player development. This area will be headed up by our Director of P2 Gavin Mole. In addition, Gavin will work closely with Mark and Nick to identify those players and teams that exhibit that unique ability to play at a high level. Gavin will also work closely with Nick and Mark to identify those younger teams and players that exhibit characteristics that more intensive and dedicated training will allow for accelerated development to a high level.

At the pinnacle of the pyramid will be our elite level. This area will include our ENCL teams, our NPL teams as well as our School of Excellence teams. This will be headed up by our Director of our Elite level, Eric Dade. These teams and coaches will train multiple times a week under the most rigorous and demanding conditions. These teams will simply put be the best of the best.
Each of these channels will be supported by additional staff which will be named shortly. The role of each Director will be to recruit, develop and prepare the constituency of their channel to progress to the highest level based on the desire and ability of the player.

In addition, it is our intention to focus unique attention on our girls’ side by naming a girl’s development director. This position will be responsible for moving players and teams to the highest level of development as well as placing our girls’ teams in the highest level of competition we can on a national level. That announcement will be forthcoming in the very near future.
Dru Wright will continue in his role as CAP Program Director (our college program) reporting to Colin and Director of Affiliate Management On field reporting to myself.

Jimmy Melia will support and assist Colin in multiple areas including coaching support and guidance. Jimmy will also be involved as we develop our international pathway for player development.

Please stay close to your email on or around May 1st to see an additional important announcement coming about other changes that will even further enhance this initiative taking our club and our game up a level.

Thank you as always and I am excited about tomorrow and our future. Looking forward to seeing you at tryouts on July 1 if not before!
All the best,

Peter Brody

Great model for a Club PAYING the Players setup.

Not sure how well it will work in a Player/Parent pays the Club model where there are many different customers, desires and reasons for playing.

Wonder if the costs of training & playing be the same across the board or if the Best of the Best will pay significantly more? Laughing

If I'm not mistaken Monday was the 30th anniversary of Hillsborough. Great timing Captain Peter.

Liverpool's days are numbered, without the license and naming rights the club is a sinking ship. Only question is how long before the Liverpool faithful begin rushing for the exits.

tikitalker - you have no clue. Please get your facts straight before making such an assumption. The club is fine but will not be called Liverpool anymore. What is the big deal? You think people actually joined this club because it was "Liverpool"? Ever thought that they are moving to another club that has more opportunity or is better for whatever reasons?

SD107 what opportunities is the new club offering that will help the current coaches and players to become better and how committed is Dortmund? to invest money for what return? I’m just wondering about that foreign (YourApeeIn) affiliation advantage for both sides. I guess marketing is one thing but actual help in development another.
