Isn't Villarreal NTX 09G Yellow the former Dallas Texans Vasquez team?

Based their gotsoccer profile, yes. So they are currently FBR #18.

Sticking to FBR, those two teams are #44 and #43 respectively. Aside from those, it seems you followed the pattern. Seems FBR #18 would be in Group I and FBR #19 in Group H.

Exactly, I did it as it was today and I completely expect them to flip flop some so Solar doesn’t have multiple playing in the same group. Next week the official pools will be out. I just know it’s fun to look and speculate as early as possible.

And not just helping Solar. All the clubs really. Heck renegades don’t want to play renegades in pool play, especially week 1.

Two days in to Tut, what is everyone thinking? Tut has delivered some good competition in my opinion.

Although not populated with the teams yet Lake Highlands posted the brackets and it doesn’t appear to be snake seeding. However, the U12 brackets do look like they were done that way. Perhaps, it will updated when they input the teams?

Why would they not snake it? Very strange. One off game could put some top teams in D2.

Because they are a sanctioned NTX league, which is part of US Soccer. Logic does not apply.

11 has a better bracket than 1. Makes no sense.

True, but should make for better games.
That's the only reason I can think of for why it would be seeded this way.

Agree, it make no sense, especially since they used snake seeding for u12. Even though there are only 4 brackets for that age you would think they would use the same process. Maybe it is a mistake? I guess we will know soon enough.

It’s not just the top seeds that get screwed by not doing a snake draft... the top 2 and 3 seeds get screwed as well. I would like to think a TON of coaches would be raising a stink about this.

All that being said, I think it is a typo and will be corrected. There were LHCL board members out watching games all weekend... you don’t invest that much time and effort to get the seeding right and fair to only screw it up with an illogical drafting process.

I believe they fix it for sure.

I don’t understand how they can justify these brackets. If they want king tut to actually mean something, then they have to actually show favor to teams based on seeding. Wasn’t that the whole point of this heat stroke weekend? Otherwise all of this is a waste of everyone’s time. Not only does this hurt teams with a good seeding, but it also hurts teams sitting at placements like number 12 who now have to play a number one seed but should be playing an 11 seed. Pretty ridiculous IMO.

Looks like the first and second seeds were based on Junior Classic alone. Doesn’t appear King Tut was a factor in those.

That was kind of the point of Junior Classic right? To help give a more thorough picture, and to help avoid a single (Tut) weekend making or breaking a team? I would imagine if any of those first or second seeds completely choked in Tut, that would've factored in. But it doesn't look like any of them did - they all appear to have lived up to the quality they showed in Junior Classic. Tut likely helped sort things out for the teams that weren't quite in those first two seeds.

It didn't factor in last year either. I think its really more of a tune up and sweat fest!

There were for sure teams that outclassed their comp at TUT and nothing really changed. So absolutely just a tune up and sweat fest!

Betting chalk might be the way to go here. King Tut showed that ranks 12-20 are essentially a coin flip and quite a few games were decided by the proverbial fluky goal. This sets up nicely for some excitement in week two.
I think Cosmos Black and Lightning are most vulnerable due to the strength of the next closest team in their respective brackets. I wouldn’t count out Solar Austin either.

Has anyone seen FT Worth FC play? Also I would have thought Dallas Texans white would have been ranked in front of lightning. There were a few surprises for me. Like jdl lovegrove seeding and grado not getting punished for not playing. Just my opinion , doesnt mean anything
