Is there anyone who thinks the current fractured league circuit with almost two dozen teams per age group now playing in Regional travel leagues (DA, ECNL, DPL, ECRL, NPL) is better than what we had 15 years ago when everyone played in a local league and saved their travel for big national tournaments or the single USYS postseason pathway?

If so, I would like to hear your reasoning.

Seems to me that Dallas is subsidizing the development of players in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, etc by traveling to give them competitive games when for all of these Dallas teams better competition is just 15 minutes away from home. Did all this happen because Lake Highlands dropped the ball? Who can step in to run a competent league and restore sanity?

Based on last years results for North Texas teams, each group has a large variation from LHGCL Div 1, 2, 3 and a few PPL teams. Most are LHGCL Div 2 & 3 teams. So why are we playing OK, AR, KS, LA?

Those team lists are embarrassing at most age groups for girls. I feel bad for the teams outside of North Texas that will travel to play our teams. We have found more ways to waste time and money.

Cannot speak for anyone but Oklahoma, but typically there are perhaps only two, maybe three, good teams from Oklahoma. Where are those teams playing. Are these the teams down at a lower level? If so, they may consider they are getting good competition from the teams North Texas enters. In any event, it is voluntary problem. It would be interesting to poll the parents after the season and ask if it was worth it.
