No reason to read any further after this statement. You lost all credibility by adding Lonestar.cenTex wrote:timmyh wrote:
The top 3 are pretty obvious. The bottom 3 are pretty obvious. The middle 15 are all going to be fairly competitive. Sure there might be some blowouts in different age groups, but most games are going to stay within a few goals with each club at least getting a good result or two.
My 2 cents with tiers:
1. Solar DA
2. FC Dallas3. Real Colorado
4. Sting Dallas5. D'Feeters
6. Sporting Blue Valley
7. Lonestar SC8. Colorado Rush
9. Colorado Rapids10. Dallas Texans
11. Albion Hurricanes12. Houston Dash
13. Solar ECNL14. Oklahoma Energy
15. Challenge SC
16. Tulsa SC17. Classics Elite
18. Sporting Omaha
19. Oklahoma Celtic
20. Colorado Pride
21. Sting Austin
My color coding of your tiers above might be a bit generous to ECNL as they mostly get matched with a DA team below them, but by going through and just matching up one team from each league (DA and ECNL) who are ranked closely together and cancelling them out, the relative strength of the two leagues starts to clarify.
Roughly 70% of the clubs are pretty equal between DA and ECNL.
But in the DA the other 30% is Solar, FC Dallas, and Lonestar (quite good)

OK. But the context of the statement was meant to be in comparison to Celtic, Pride, and Sting Austin. In that light, they are quite good. It wasn't meant to group Lonestar as equal to Solar or FCD.

I'm a little surprised 918 hasn't been in here yet to complain about TSC not being placed in the top 5.

Gotta feel for ol' 918. Life gets tough outside your own sandbox.

Forget the DA v ECNL argument. I'd make that switch based on style of play alone.

It isn’t abusive to the DD though, there’s no place she’d rather be. As a parent though, not too much different than any other sacrifice you’d be willing to make for your kiddo.

YA'LL!
This has to be that Solar coach that buys all the good players! Who else is rich enough to pay someone to paint a picture of a money butthole so they can use it as an avatar?

Re: 2019-2020 DA and ECNL Teams
Also rumors here that Solar is going to have to choose between ECNL and DA next year, and the choice may not be as obvious as everyone thinks. Anyone think there is any truth to that? Seems unlikely to me they move the top girls to ECNL with both boys and girls being successful in DA, though. Could be a rumor floated here simply to help make the Lonestar news more palatable.
Could make for an interesting next few months.
