Does anyone know that how many ECNL teams needed to advance to playoff for the DA club to keep ECNL in the following year?
Want to know all the options for next year.

Doesnt matter. Solar will lose/give up ECNL next year regardless.

From what I heard you have to place 4 teams in the Champions League every two years and win a national championship in that time as well.  If they are successful then the clock starts over again.  ECNL wants to make sure that clubs are presenting their best teams in their league.

Hey Ya'll!!

So we did a thing!! flower

Sweetpea got sick of being 3rd best so we decided it was the right time for her to move over to the Solar for her last few years of DA. Coach Moneybags was nice enough to pay for everything and he promised we'd beat the snot out of our old team every time we play them. Coach Matt was pissed, but nobody cares what he thinks anymore anyways.

On a related topic, are D1 players allowed to accept academic scholarship aid on top of their athletic aid?

I heard it was 3 this year. I do not believe you have to win a NC as well as place those teams into Champions League, but if you do them you get an exception. Appears to change each year. I get wanting to present the best for the league, but come on Sting Austin is a joke and so is Pride.

Yes, as long as the student meets the requirements for the academic scholarship.

Most D1 scholarships in equivalency sports (e.g. soccer) are some combination of both athletic and academic aid.

I understand it’s qualify four teams for Champions League and you can stay the next year, or three teams if you’ve won a national championship in the past 3 years (the Blues Rule).

And yes, it’s silly that Pride and Celtic and Sting Austin and Classics Elite were all added and FCD got the boot. Politics trumps quality in some circumstances. Better believe Sting has designs on getting Solar booted, as well.
