Sleepless in Seattle

I stay awake all last night in my hotel room trying to figure out where it all went wrong. Our teams fall apart when it counted the most. The soccer we played during the group games was the most beautiful youth soccer I have ever seen. Then we get to the important games and it's whoopsie daisy. I'm completely perplex. Can any DKSC parents give advice on what we should do different? I come to you humbly with my nike hat in my hand.

Make no mistakes, I am so proud of this club and what we accomplish. Our coaches need your opinions.

Qualifying 6 teams into Seattle means you had a damn good year. Chalk it up to experience and get em next year.

It’s a process! Very proud of 2021-22. It is a given we wish we could have made a deeper run. Personally, very proud of our showing at the national level.

Our u18/19 had an amazing run making it to the final 4, losing to the eventual champions.

U16 & u13 won all 3 bracket games beating some good teams (legends, Concorde, SoCal Blues etc). Both lost in round of 16. Games could have gone either way.

Our u14,u16 and 17’s were in most if not all games. Injuries are part of the game and I know the 17’s and 16’s were missing a few key starters. The teams represented well even if they didn’t get result.

Good luck to Solar and FCD in Virginia.

Parents like you are what make DKSC so special. jm23, I suspect I know who you are and we are very fortunate to have you in our club. Families like yours make my job as President worth while.

Solar's outcomes in Virginia has me feeling better. Just imagine what DKSC could do if we also recruited players from across the country to play for our teams. Of course we will never do this, DKSC is a club for players from North Texas.

Super proud of DKSC and what they have accomplished as a club this past season. They are definitely on the rise and will do great things this upcoming season. A great club to watch. Strong Texas conference club.

I just KNEW our girls were gonna bring their A-Game. You can keep being BUTT HURT, it won't change the FACT that WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Perhaps you are the one who is Butt Hurt. It is unfortunate that so many Solar players lose playing time to out of town players who never train with the team. This sort of thing will never happen at DKSC because our elite coaches are developers of talent and not users of talent. All of our national championships were won with local, DKSC developed players. We are committed to our culture and doing things the right way, in the best interest of our players and their families.

The exchange reminds me of the good ol' days on this forum. The slinging is not near as strong as in the past, but it is a start. It reminds me what this forum once was and what it can be again. Keep it up.

Oh. My. Goodness. Simon's private skills are right up there with the best I've had. The way he rolls his R's while he's doing it... and he's VERY authoritative. I tried to intervene during the session to give him so things to work on and he gave me a tounge lashing I won't soon forget.

Who wants to move to Pensacola with me? The worst thing about vacations is when they're over.
