I'm sure the players on all the teams in the league are pulling for her quick recovery. Neck injuries are scary things and no one wants to seriously injure another player. We'll pray for a full recovery. Hang in there, Michelle!

Great news! Motion and feeling has returned to Michelle's leg. A couple of hours ago she was able to take a few steps and was eventually able to walk up and down the hall. Her family is very grateful for all of the concerns and prayers. They are working.

Going home

I am very pleased to share that Michelle is heading home. Apparently it was a severe “stinger.” I usually associate this with a temporary loss of feeling, not temporary paralysis. The physician took a brief look at the test results and said she should slowly recover in the next 48 hours, and she did. Michelle was involved in several physical plays and her dad thinks the problem occurred from an awkward landing during the second half.
