07 LH QT

And so it begins tonight. Any predictions? What non-No. 1 seed has the most realistic chance at an upset? Or do any?

14 Being LP Alonso. I concur that is my pick, if there is an upset. That team has some athletes and might give DTS trouble. Might not either.

I think Byars has a honey of a draw, as FCD Simba/Premier still looking for a win without help and a weak 2 seed. Only BUT is, what girls are on LH QT roster? Same as Tut, including SRSA help? Or something else? He cant have top 12 qualify and then go to JDL. Lucky for him he could bring his bottom 8 and still win bracket.

Based on TUT, they were one of my last picks to upset.

DTS will have a tough time. With the 2 seed because of what Foley mentioned and with 3 seed because of a few SRSA guests

Predict the top 10 seeds all get in this weekend. It will get a little spicier weekend 2.

I thought u couldn't have guest in Qt

"Guests" are not allowed in the LH QT. All players must be on the USYS North Texas Official Roster and cannot be rostered on a different team's NTSSA roster. They may be rostered on a US Club Roster for a JDL team, but there are specific rules against qualifying with players solely for a competitive advantage or transferring away from a qualifying team.

you can't.

however, hypothetically speaking: assume you have a full roster of girls who won't play in this league, there's nothing stopping you from rostering them to various /other/ teams within your club (note that i'm not saying it's for the sole purpose of QT).

I think 1-6 get through fairly easy. After that I predict Solar Rundell and DTS South would be the most likely to be upset. Not sold on Rundell's team with or without SRSA players (if any) and DTS has a decent #2 and #3 seed which could give them trouble. DTS's lack of recent games may make them a bit rusty.

Question, if Solar Rundell has SRSA players rostered and are also a JDL team what happens when they participate in JDL? Can a JDL player play on 2 different teams if those teams play in different age groups?

Rundell didn't use SRSA players at TUT. His roster is public and I don't see any of those players on there either.

JDL and LH are 2 different beasts. In JDL a kid is supposed to only play 1 game a day I was told(like LH), but not in rules, and rosters pretty fluid in JDL. So technically a kid could play 07s and 06s in JDL. Then again, they are really just scrimmages so I doubt anyone checks and what good would a forfeit do in a league that doesnt keep standings..

The Colvin team is playing JDL, which is US club(not NTSSA). So as far as NTSSA is concerned, players are free agents. (JDL rules dictate they can only play for a Solar team in LH if they choose to. AKA the Kicks rule)

In any event, Rundell is not a JDL team, Kennington and Byars have that.

Rundell's team did not use SRSA players at TUT and is not using additional players in LH.

Technically, Solar Rundell would do the "upsetting". They were ranked #11, but it looks like they were put as a 12th seed so as not to play Solar 07 JDL (Kennington) Top team in their bracket is Dallas Texans West

Any thoughts from opening games?

Seems like everyone that was supposed to win did in fact win. Who is going to upset whom first? Or will there be none?
