So late last Sunday (around 9pm), ODP tryouts were cut short due to lightning. There wasn't any announcement made or anything. Everybody just started heading for their cars. Anybody know what the plan is?

Coach Gary hollered out to the girls that they will be rescheduling the try outs. I'm sure an email will be sent out.

I hope they hurry. There is only one weekend left until LH starts and my daughter has two scrimmages this weekend.

exactly. I mean other than the fact the ODP has no actually connection to the NAtional team or US soccer

Here is the email they sent out:

You are receiving this email in an effort to communicate info regarding a makeup due to the lightning cancellation which occurred on Sunday, August 11, 2013.

Due to the 02/03 ODP Tryouts occurring every weekend until September 8th, we are unable to schedule a makeup for the cancellation until after their last tryout date. Therefore, I have requested fields at McInnish Park in Carrollton on September 15 & September 22, 2013. The following is the reply we received from the Parks and Recreation Department Athletics Supervisor: "I won't know availability for anything starting in September until I get the adult and youth schedules. I have the men's schedule, but not the women's. I should have the youth schedule soon."

As soon as we are able to secure fields to conduct a makeup session, I will email the info to all '97 & '98 players registered for tryouts. I appreciate your patience and understanding as I await confirmation on a date from the Carrollton Parks Department.
One thing I don't get is why would they need two days? Tryouts were cut only 1 hour short.

Any news on this? I haven't gotten any emails or anything since shortly after the tryouts were cancelled.

Per Gary Williamson, and as of yesterday, they are waiting for field scheduling for adult/youth leagues to be completed to see field availability. Maybe a date will be set next week as leagues are starting play.
