Plano D1 Parity Empty Plano D1 Parity

Post by mlwfrisco 12/10/15, 02:04 pm

Worth noting that 4 of the 5 Plano D1 games on Saturday ended in 0-0 ties. Sting Harr was only team to score, a 4-0 win. They are class of D1. Relegation for bottom two will probably come down to last weekend. Good competitive division.

Not a Sting parent by the way.

Agree, the Plano D1 is a good competitive group. Also, Sting Harr has been a scoring machine this Fall. This division will only get more competitive with the promotion of the top D2 teams in the Spring. Also not a Sting parent Smile

LH Classic D3 - many showdowns the next few weeks. FC Premier's has opportunity to show domination, while #2 thru #5 all have a shot at re-ording the top five? LP Raisbeck has a very good opportunity to improve having already played the top five.

Plano D1 Parity Empty Re: Plano D1 Parity

Though it may ruffle some feathers, my take is a little different on most of the D1 Plano teams with the exception of Sting-Harr. They are playing smart, offensive soccer as a team. That's why they are scoring goals. So many of the others I've seen look like they are playing "not to lose" and their records indicate that. If a team is tying 4-5 games out of 8, isn't it time for the coach to try something new? A different formation? Some new blood in the offensive positions? A tie is only worth one point which is not far from the zero they would get for losing. A win is worth taking risks.

I've seen FC Central and even RFC Black do some good things offensively so maybe (hopefully) they just need more time. NTFC Black plays the kind of soccer that can put a spectator to sleep faster than a Unisom. Cosmos Black predictably relies on long kicks to a single forward. Their players look programmed to a single task. Celtics lack any kind of real shooting threat.

Most of these PPL d1 matches have not be "competitive", they have been boring and uncreative.
