LHGLC Spring Roundup

It looks like there were some surprising results in the Spring Roundup Tournament. A darkhorse Sting East Dunstan won the Gold Division and surprisingly with no guest players. Did anyone see coming that all four playoff (highest scoring) teams were from Div. II?

Not too big of a reach figuring the only D1 team is a group of who don't have a win in the league this year. Plus if you watch the games you will notice that 11 months of an age difference, 8 inches, and in some cases 80 plus pounds still makes a fairly big difference in 13 year old soccer.
However since you were surprised about Sting East not having guest players I assume this must be a standard thing for them?

No doubt on the age pure change screwing up leagues. I'm sure jurgoff shrimpboat still thinks it was a brilliant move. The bigger issue was and still is, lh letting clubs give byes to teams that didn't earn them. There were other d-2 teams in same tournament that weren't old 03 teams and seemed to fair pretty well against the "d-1" teams. My guess is the bottom 3-4 d-1 teams would be 10 or below in d-2.

Look again, there were 2 D1 teams in this event and one of them has won games in League play.

Classico, Sting East has yet to include a single guest player in any tournament or league play since we joined them last Summer. To answer the assumption above. In fact, this past weekend's Final's game versus Grado was played without our starting center back and the entire weekend was played without our one rostered ECNL player. Just to set the record straight....
