Too many In and Out burgers in between games was the culprit.

Back-to-back poor showings in Cali for the GREATEST SOLAR team to ever set foot on a pitch. Better get those DD's guesting on 02' teams now.

This board is filled with so many douches. Don’t believe I have ever seen a post by an SRSA parent bragging about their team. Only time they are mentioned is when some parent is upset about the fact that they are ROSTERED to a LH team. The fact that posters would rejoice in the fact that a 10/11 year old team lost is deplorable. I bet 90 % of those that have their panties in a wad over SRSA don’t have an older daughter playing at a competitive level. Wait till your team is fighting to avoid relegation  and face a team with a player passed ECNL stud. These same middle of the road players parents will be back on here bitching.

Dual-rostered SRSA. Dual-rostered ECNL. CPP.

No real difference.

In all 3 situations, players who don't practice with the team (and are not part of the team), show up to play in order to secure wins that the team might not otherwise earn, thereby taking playing (development) time away from TEAM members.

Big can of worms here... first of all SRSA talked all kinds of crap on a Cali forum and they have here as well. Second of all all their players helping other Solar teams get into LH D1 is a mess. It hurt player development for other girls, and now Solar is going to lose a ton of kids. They need that to pay for DA which is why they gathered all those teams to start with. Let me just say this....their is some very nice kids and a great coach there but, a few very mean/rude kids and a couple of nasty parents/grandparents make them a target.

Are we talking about Wins/Losses or development? If we are truly talking development then wins and loses really don’t matter at U11 do they? But one could argue that by spreading the talent of SRSA across D1 makes for a more competitive league thereby more development. If we are upset about a coach benching a paying player for a “guest” player then that is a completely separate issue which should be addressed with that teams coach. And sign with a deferent team/club next season. I would suggest that if your DD is the best player or worst player on her team then she needs to find a new team if we are focusing on strictly development.

After U13 when DA and ECNL deplete the talent pool LH becomes extremely watered down and will long for the days of facing the best teams/players week in and week out.

We ourselves have lost a couple of games to Solar this season but didn’t lose because of a couple guest players but because of things we as a team did wrong and will address the issues in practice so it hopefully doesn’t happen again.

But how does any of this make it right to bash SRSA?

It’s a fine line, a game of roulette, a slippery slope , that solar plays to keep the customers signing and paying. It’s very similiar to the rise of kicks nation. You really were playing against a handful of studs that were distributed amongst all the teams. This strategy looks good to the eye test ie.. leagues, rankings and unfortunately this is all most parents understand. Unfortunately their is enough money , ignorance, running around to replace those that leave. I am pretty sure big ern said it best. Building a recreational/select product that payes full frate is where the money comes from.

It’s not a deception. It is a player and parent choice. They do not hide their model. It is very clear to all how it works.

Zero development happening during games to kids on the team sitting on the bench watching SRSA players take their play time.

And I think BigE and I agree - more development happening in practice (that the SRSA players are not attending).

Any argument that SRSA players helping other Solar teams get into LH D1 (and then using them to maintain a level they otherwise don't have the player ability to maintain) promotes any type of development is a load of bull.

If you DD is having to sit the bench because of a couple of guest players then perhaps your Kid needs to play on a lower level team? (Bottoms of the roster player). Trust me I have been there with my oldest where she was on a top team and played limited minutes. Best thing I ever did was place her on a team where she wasn’t the best but was better than half. Same holds true if your DD is the stud of the team. Needs to play with a higher level team. That is where development will truly begin. Sounds like your more worried about wins and losses or being able to brag to your coworkers that your DD plays LH D1

For Non Solar teams the league is more competitive which will make the non solar teams better by seasons end. Would you agree SickofStupidity? Sure some teams may get relegated that may have been able to stay at the bottom of D1 but that goes back to wins/losses not the argument regarding development.

They practice Tuesdays and Thursdays at JPII, if you want to go tell a bunch of ten year old girls in person how disappointing their performance was.

You seem content enough doing it on a message board but just imagine how fulfilling that would be for you guys.

Believe me their parents are on top of it and more importantly in the coaches ear about getting new players on the team to create the ultimate super group for the spring. Then the team will split after the super elite on team that cant win it by themselves at major tourneys and try to play up in ENCL/DA.

@ron Mexico

I don’t really get why you would want me to talk to the team. My point was at some level I assume all of us want & hope each age group has a team (s) that can carry the NTX torch and win big out of state tournaments.  It helps keep the NTX brand as strong as a hot bed for high level youth soccer.   Many age groups have been successful winning big tournaments: (91 Solar & Texans, 97 & 95 Sting, 99 Texans, 00, 01, 02 & 03 solar, 04 LP rase, 05 DTS & Kicks JM, 06 Sting Black & DTS).  I believe and hope a 07 team can do the same.  It appears that Solar is close after winning Super Copa.

My advice to the 07 Solar team at the end of the day would be keep your head up, keep grinding, and get em next time.

So, let me make sure I have this right -

Solar did this to benefit the other non-solar teams, while admittedly qualifying teams that otherwise would not be there if not for the SRSA guest players (while at the same time knocking out TEAMS that were arguably more deserving, but didn't have access to non-team players - so, doesn't this negatively impact the development of those teams/players denied D1 by the SRSA shenanigans).

And now, Solar has a bunch of ticked off parents whose kids made a team that was mis-respresented, with multiple players (not just the bottom few) receiving less playing time while girls not on the team play.

Talk about a fantastic business model - for other clubs!  cheers

I really don’t.  In fact, the type of people that immediately jump on a message board to bash a group of 10yo girls the second they experience adversity is exactly the type of people that i’d rather keep my daughter away from.

Obviously you are sensitive to the matter.  What I don’t understand is your reading comprehension skills as My post did not bash your team.  There were many other posts that clearly bashed your team.   Since you misunderstood my post, let me try again. The underlying point was hopefully an 07 team can win a big national tournament and keep the momentum going for Dallas as a hotbed for Elite youth soccer.  So, if that is considered bashing 10 years, I apologize...not my intent.  I’ve been around DFW soccer a long time, my point is bigger than your dd’s Team...it is about DFW elite soccer.

No backpedal 1st time poster!! I meant what I said you have to win the big tournament to carry the torch...this is a fact. Others before you have done it...it is the greens fee. If this bothers you, then that explains a lot....
