Good call. Juve didn't even make it too finals. Given all the hype, I wasn't overly impressed. I will tip my hat to them though for being able to knock out three opponents in one day.
As for Dalglish/RASE...best team money can buy..

Too bad we didn't get to see Fever United against the 04's, particularly against Dalglish/RASE, since they were playing up in the 03 group.. oh yeah, hopefully #** will still be scoring goals at 16..

Nice for Lady Aztecs reversing the whoopin last put on them by Juventus.
Congrats to Dalglish on the win.
One question, why are some posters saying "Dalgish/RASE"? Was this the same group of girls who lost last week's tournament to DT North Deleon or were their additions from RASE?

My understanding from being on the sidelines during semi-finals is that this group included RASE players, hence how they could crush someone 10-0 this weekend and likely did not incl. them last weekend when they lost to Texans, but don't know that for a fact.

What difference does it make who played for who? The way I see it is everyone plays with guest players or players from other teams within the club. Who cares? Why don't we just congratulate the teams that win and move on?

believe it was a off weekend for both LW teams and this was a late fill in to balance the brackets for the tournament. It was open to volunteers from both teams so no idea if any or how many rase girls were there. But whatever team was there it was to help everyone have a better tournament

what packing the box and having a good keeper? Worker for chelsea in the champions league. Not great for teaching kids soccer though. You should tell us all what the strategy is. I would love to see if it works.

There's a lot more to it than that...Similar to how Greece 2004 was figured out, Barca/Spain, etc.. The sad thing is that there are too many coaches that have the tactical sense of a rock.. None whatsoever... Making preschool mistakes on formations, analyzing the players they have, and making sound, appropriate, tactical instructions..And many of these coaches have no plan B when things go nuts up, because they can't properly analyze the solution, and definately not in a timely manner, ie.during the match..

I can't speak for others but I only ask in order to judge the relative strengths of the teams and to better understand results. I could care less if teams use guests... it's just nice to know if they do and from where.

Okay I'll bite, I would love to know the secret tactic. 1st I would say any tactic requires the personnel to pull it off. Second I would love at most of the RASE losses as the girls were just to strong and too fast or like DTS they were just a better team so the losses weren't down to tactics. I could certianly think of a few things that may cause problems but if I was a coach I wouldn't do it. At this age it should be about teaching your team a style of play. Win lose of draw you play your style.

True, we should not make winning the primary goal of academy, but playing a tournament, winning is obviously a key part.
More than winning, I don't think it's good to be stuck to one style of play. It's good for girls to learn to adjust and to think about how adjusting to certain tactics can shift the balance of the game.

but to learn to adjust you first have to know your own style of play which is why at this age you should just play your style. Once that is a ingrained habit you can then learn to make tactical adjustments. If he has this secret anti rase tactic then it will certianly work because LW is more interested in how they play than the results.

Surely there's a way of "figuring out" every team? Man City certainly worked out Man Utd this past season!
