Nov - Dec 2012 Tournaments for 03's - Complete List with Teams

Instead of having multiple "Who's playing where?" posts I will be attempting to manage it all here on a single post. The idea is to give everyone an idea where teams will be playing prior to deadlines, so that coaches can pick a tournament that can best suit their teams skill level. Or if nothing else give a complete list of tournaments with details. I will add teams under the respective tournament once someone posts here that their team will be playing in said tournament. So if you KNOW your team will be playing in a listed tournament them either send a PM or post here, and I'll update the list.

There are a few rules for the list that will be maintained here. First only tournaments where 03 teams can play will be listed. Second, I'll only list tournaments within this area. If you're a tournament director, and your tournament is not listed on either Gotsoccer.com or www.ntxsoccer.org them please PM me with a link to the tournament info and I'll add it to the list. Finally, no small sided tournaments will be listed.

The list is color coded based on weekend, and then sorted entry deadline (if none is known then it will appear at the bottom). Also if you are a tournament director and see any ?'s then feel free to post or PM with the detail I was unable to find.

Thanks to all for helping populate this list, and I hope this helps everyone pick where to play in November and December.

Most tournament websites don't display an applied teams list, and the accepted teams list normally doesn't show until after the entry deadline. It would be nice to begin to populate this list with teams, to give everyone an idea where the competition will be. Please post, or if you want to keep it private PM me (your PM will be kept private) where your team will be playing.

Quick question, why would anyone play in the Dallas Texans Fall Festival for 20 minute halves:

4. U11 – U16 teams will play Mini Games in preliminary, Quarter, Semi, and Final games. Half time
will be 5 minutes. If teams are tied at the end of Quarter finals, games will go directly to
penalty kicks. If teams are tied at the end of Semi or Final games teams will play overtime. If
Semis and Finals are still tied after the full overtime has been played then penalty kicks.
EACH ACADEMY TEAM will play 3 preliminary games. Only the top scoring teams will
advance to the championship rounds. Each Academy team roster is allowed a maximum of 16
players. There are no guest players allowed on an Academy teams. Academy teams will play 11
v 11. Academy teams must submit the tournament roster provided by the tournament. An
Academy player is only allowed to play on one team during the tournament and can not “play
up”.

AGE ROSTER LENGTHOFHALVES BALL SIZE OVERTIME

U10Acad 16 20 Minute 4 2 - 10 minute periods
U11 18 25 Minute 4 2 - 10 minute periods
U12 18 25 Minute 4 2 - 10 minute periods
U13 18 30 Minute 5 2 - 10 minute periods
U14 18 30 Minute 5 2 - 10 minute periods
U15 18 35 Minute 5 2 - 10 minute periods
U16 22 35 Minute 5 2 - 10 minute periods

16 kids between 20 minute halves? Not good choice versus most other tournaments during that time are at the least 30 minutes halves. 20 minute difference, that is whole other half!!!

Primetime Thanksgiving Shootout

Length of Games and Roster Size:

- Under 7-8 (7v7): 22 Minute Halves; Roster Max: 14
- Under 8-10 (9v9): 25 Minute Halves; Roster Max: 16
- Under 9-12 (11v11): 30 Minute Halves; Roster Max: 18
- Under 13-14 (11v11): 35 Minute Halves; Roster Max: 18

HN didn't encourage me, I have no skin in the game but found it quite interesting on the length of halves. Definitely not the 'biggest' or 'longest' bang for your buck.

Hmmm good point. Perhaps 16 (15 field players) is too many for this tournament. You could always leave a few players at home or keep a thin roster in case Tamia Hamm comes along. That way you don't have to break Reagan Beuhler's heart when she gets cut for little Hamm.

I'm glad to see people are responding, thanks to everyone who's PM'ed me with where their team will be playing, keep them coming. So far looks like both DTSC & Primetime will have some good competition.

Several teams added to list, deadlines approaching so keep up the PM's.

Lots more teams added, will update tournaments that pass their deadline once they release schedules.

Updated with latest info (released schedules, and/or accepted teams lists for tourneys past deadline). Some teams shown on some accepted lists might be rec teams, but they will be removed once schedules are released.
