HEY FCD WORLD . . . Empty HEY FCD WORLD . . .

Post by EasyTarget12 14/05/13, 02:56 pm

. . . I've got a friend (no, it's not me) that is being told by their coach that it is "FCD policy NOT to sign guests releases." Yet on her fact sheet received and signed for at beginning of the year, it says that it is allowed as long as certain criteria is met (proper paperwork, dues current, doesn't conflict, etc.) Nothing stated in her paperwork anywhere else that was signed July 1st.

So those of you "in the know" with FCD, is this a club policy? Keep in mind that he is refusing to sign it, which is his right, but on the basis that the club doesn't allow guest play . . . and I see their players on other teams all the time prior to June.

So help this kid get some clarification . . .

To my knowledge it is not a club policy. My DD's coach signed her release and totally understodd having options. We have been very honest with our coach and she has been honest with us.

Sounds like a coach copout. Not enough back bone to take a stand, so blame it on someone or something else. Wipe hands clean and now don't have to deal with the conflict.

Run away from such a weak coach. He/She may be doing a lot of other things that aren't stand up either.

Depends on how big a stink they want to make, but if the fact sheet says guest playing will be allowed if certain conditions are met, and they have met those conditions, I would point that out to the coach. If coach still refuses to sign, take it up with DOC, if DOC doesn't resolve in their favor, take it to NTSSA. Have documentation at all points.

as far as I know it is a club thing although coaches have been known to look the other way and allow it. In fact had been told that if bb (when he was at fcd) ever needed to play they would find a team inside the club for him to play on

Bottom line is that you signed a contract, ready it have it handy and if it says you need to adhere to "club policies" then go to the club sit and ask them to show you in writing that they do not sign releases.

If they can provide that take a copy to the league ASAP because they are violating the league rules.....bunch of BS....

Can you get the coach to respond in a email... I bet not... verbal BS I bet....

Sorry, nothing NTX can do until June - coach's prerogative on giving you a release.

In June, if your team IS NOT playing in a tournament during the weekend that you want to guest and the coach will not sign a release, he will get a call from the youth commissioner, and you will get your release. If your team, IS playing in a tournament, the coach still has a hold on you - his discretion to sign and NTX will not override his decision.

All this is why you get a release to rec before April 1 so you can practice with anyone who will have you and NTX signs the guest play releases. Learn this people!
