Tournament Directors are BALLS! Come On Man,, How are you going to wait until 7:05 to cancel a 8:00 game? People have to be there by 7:15-7:730 plus drive a hour and a half to get there.

1 hour delay yesterday. 1-1/2 hr delay today after last minute reschedule. games shortened to 20 min halves which is way too short for older players. 1-1/2 hr delay for 8:00 game tonight and at 8:45 lights on fields at UTD go off. What a disaster of a tournament. 8:15 game didn't start until almost 10:00pm.

Update: female team manager assaults a male line judge who hits her back. Police, ambulance...
Another fiasco for this tournament; not to mention for that team, the parties involved and THE CHILD whose mom was the "attacker".

NTX is fast becoming an embarrassment when it comes to parent behavior. Time to clear the sidelines and have parents sat way back behind each goal. In no way am I defending refs but enough is enough.

Don't know which team the manager represented. Boys' team, though, and happened about 9:15 at UTD. Don't know if team was playing in challenge or regular KSMD.

All challenge games today were at Richland not UTD. Richland was pretty calm today as far as I could tell

i can understand, and agree but to play the other side of the coin, reffing is getting so poor that the sidelines become enraged because they feel that the ref is not up to the job of providing a safe environment and a skilled officiating of of the game. two handed push to the back? play on. obvious handball in the box? play on., calls made from 25 plus yards away because of lack of fitness, etc etc. of course you have bad calls in any sport but it seems that the refs are so arbitrary and inconsistent that you don't feel they know what they are doing...

I think they are always looking for volunteers to step in and become refs so they can make things better.

I saw three U14G games and I thought the refs did a very good job- and that's after I reviewed the game video and had the chance to get a second look at all the calls. I don't doubt that there were problems in other games- just saying there are some well-called games- 3 for 3 in our case.

Like.

I've actually tried this, and learned the hard way that yes, sometimes the good people on the sidelines have a better angle to see a play than the center. The center is sometimes screened.

On the other hand, unlike all the parents, the center doesn't give a damn who wins. Parents need to remember that.

Yes, like the very large and very loud lady this weekend who is blessed with incredible vision. She could see touchline calls ACROSS THE FIELD better than the referees and the players. Amazing.
