Summer Shootout Empty Summer Shootout

We are looking to complete the Tournament on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Talking to Coaches today to see if they can make it work. We have the fields and ref's
First part is
Make sure everyone completes their 3 games.
Work to make the tournament finish with the finals and medal ceremonies.
Its a scheduling nightmare with out of town teams but we can make it work with coaches assistance

I applaud your efforts. The start of summer is unfortunate as many will start camps, vacations or activities that normally wouldn't interfere.

I totally agree but way too many tournaments take the easy way out, we know its a real headache for ourselves but we want to give teams a chance to finish the tournament

There's no good solution. If some teams are reduced by 4-5 players, it would change outcome and that's not fair either.

I am not going to disagree but we as a club made the choice to give teams the opportunity to play to a finish rather than to wash our hands of the situation. We felt it was the best solution

Summer Shootout Empty there really is no solution

It is unfortunate, but there is no solution.

Only one I see, if you desire to do so, is to refund the team's money for missing their one game. If you guarantee 3 games, give the teams a refund who only played 2 games. And then maybe just be done with it. Wait for next year and hope the teams like that you gave the refund and come back for a second year.

We are certainly going to do that for anyone who cannot play (due to travel or players out of town) others that are looking to play to a finish and want trophies then we are going to make it happen. It's not ideal but we wanted to give everyone the best possible outcome we could and by playing Wednesday and Thursday we know its not ideal we just felt like its just better than saying we are done!
