EPL...they do, I just found this out too. US Youth Soccer added U13 this year.

This is the first year U13s go.

I believe Michigan Hawks and Legends are also nationals bound. Should be some incredible matches!

Gunners I agree that things are shaping up for some great matches.

Michigan Hawks is the best team I've seen this year and are lead by a u14 WNT camp invitee at forward and a host of other high quality players. They were an amazing team to watch this past summer.

Legends is the best team out of SoCal and is led by the best forward I've seen in the age group (also a u14 WNT camp invitee)

Assuming WCFC makes it out of Region I this weekend they boast yet another forward who is held in the same light as the previous two gals and put on her own show in Chicago this summer at the Eclipse Challenge.

Having already put the clamps on Tophat's national camp invitee the LP defense would have withstood a star studded test when it is all said and done.

I agree with outonlimb this national semi and championship game are going to be simply OUTSTANDING soccer.  LPs CBs are IMO the best tandem in the country and the heartbeat of the team.  LP parents don't get mad as I am not saying the other players not very good.  My point is watching those two go up against the other top forwards is almost worth me coming back from my 20 yr wedding anniversary trip to Paris....uh, well, I think I better calm down.  :-)

FYI, the Legends star forward dad called me today asking if this was the same LP team from Surf Cup last August.  I told him, "yes and no".  Same team but not the same level of play...he won't recognize them.  It was interesting for Legends, b/c they had to play the #1 rated forward nationally, the Brazilian girl, and he described her as "virtually unstoppable"...I thanked him for beating her team.  LOL

My prediction is Legends (too Battle tested and ready) and LP (gotta go with the home team) final!  I think Hawks, although great team, not battle tested, and WCFC, was not as impressed with them in Chicago...good but not great.

Nationals are in July. I believe 21st. Yes, CBs are going ECNL. One to Defeeters and one will dual roster with SR ECNL and LP LH when needed is my guess. Net, they will be at nationals.

If the rumors are true and CP is going to Solar, and if the '00's follow him and sign contracts with Solar next week, how does that impact the Nationals situation?

Do they compete as LP or Solar? If they compete as LP, does CP coach the team at Nationals?

That is an excellent question because I'm sure Liverpool would like the acknowledgement of National Finals.

I would hope that LP allows him to coach the team at Nationals. Whatever is happening shouldn't be allowed to come in the way of the girls who have worked very hard.

NTSSA bylaws seem a bit ambiguous here.  NTSSA Assoc. year runs from Sept. 1 - Aug 31, but states that competitive soccer year runs from Aug. 1-May 31.  However if you sign a contract after July 1, you are obligated to that new team, but it doesn't clarify if that obligation is immediate or isn't effective until Aug. 1.

Of course, LHGCL requires you to submit your bye application with associated roster by mid-July, so I don't know the technicalities of how that comes into play here.

No matter what rules are, I am with go99 and would hope that all involved would put aside any personal and/or business differences and find a way to act in the best interests of the girls, both as it applies to Nationals, and as it relates to where/for whom they play next year.

My sons team was at regionals but he is moving to the AL they did say that even with changing teams and leagues that most coaches understood the opportunity that nationals is and would still allow you to make practices and the games for the old team. I am not sure now would be the time to insert a new coach and you would hope that even with them being liverpool they would find a way to let CP finish it out. But this is NTX the home of big soccer business and even bigger ego's so you never know

I'm only guessing here, but something tells me that there is some sort of loophole here, where you are technically dual-rostered during July. If an event specifies that it will use the 2012-2013 roster (i.e. Regionals or Nationals), you can play for the "old" team in that event, but if the event specifies it will use the 2013-2014 roster (i.e. King TUT or LHGCL QT), you play for the "new" team.

Again, only guessing, but I'm also thinking this isn't the 1st time an issue like this has come up regarding individual players or a whole team. Still curious to understand how it actually is and plays out here.

Yeah I would think a practice and tournament release would do the trick or if his team is staying with LP then just allowing him to come in and coach for nationals. That would depend on him willing to do it without the pay and the club allowing a outside coach in

I think it's ECNL that can do what ever the hell they want!

Unlike USYSA that has restricted themselves and players for all these years!

Had a chance to watch the Hawks play the better part of 3 games during the Region II Championship and they are a very, very good team. Their forward you mentioned is something special to watch. Good luck to all.

Just curious... how did it all work out for Nationals with the club move? Are they...

Playing as Liverpool with CP coaching?
Playing as Liverpool with a different LP coach?
Playing as Solar with CP coaching?

No agenda here, just truly interested to understand how everything was worked out in this situation. No matter what jersey they are wearing or who is coaching them, I wish all of the girls the best of luck!
