CFBAL coming back for its 4th successful academy season!  Sign up for one of the most respected and enjoyed academy league in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch area directed and scheduled by Nicole James.  Register to play on some of the finest fields (Cox was voted a close second in best fields in the metroplex) with some of the best competition!  CFBAL also allows you to pick the division your team will play in.  Registration is now open and will be until August 9th – season will begin on Sunday August 25th.

Coach is Patrick Hunter who I believe was with Meja (don't hold me to this!) and has been with FCD since spring 2013 season.

Agreed.  And what about the other Lady Aztecs, FC Dallas Premier, LP Rush, Andro West Bean, Solar Chelsea Byars, LP Gerard, Sting Scarfone?

Aztecs and Scarfone are playing up. They will play 11 x 11 with the 04's

I find this a little disappointing for several reasons.

First, both teams are very good, and I'd love to see them challenge the other top 05 teams. (I'd like to see the ever elusive DTS, as well as Sting North, Hyypia, Rush, Reina, and several others in Platinum this Fall too.)

Second, I was really hopeful all the teams playing on those over-sized fields this Spring had learned just how counter-developmental it is. Don't listen to the European academies or even the experts on this continent or the one just below us; you experienced first hand just how ridiculous it is. And now, some are taking it to the next absurd level: 11v11 with eight year olds.

Please reconsider.

I find it interesting the philosophies different teams have. Playing the absolute stoutest of competition regardless of outcome vs. taking things slow and being a better team in a lesser league, then those in between. Aztecs maybe, but personally don't get teams like Scarfone or Celtic from last year playing top competition and not exactly dominating. What approach is best? ...for the players.
