I have heard several teams saying that they can get by the n+1 rules by just who they are. Is this standard or does PPl pretty much stick to their rules about returning teams and holding/getting spots on PPL 1. I personally know that their are several teams that did not quite make the magic number. Does anyone know or is it just political?

have you considered playing in the PYL? roster problems are almost non existent due to the flexibility of the rules

Wow thanks for the good information...not.... I was asking a simple question to those in the know. Does PPL follow their own rules or not. I have heard quite a few teams that say whether or not you have to challenge in depends on who you know and not necessarily n+1. Like you can be a LH D3 that did not requalify and not have n+1 and not have to challenge. Or a team that finished in PPL in top 10 but does not have n+1 returning--no challenge as rules state so SHOULD have to challenge. Does anyone know..

I don't believe PPL has any sort of N+1 rule, or nothing even as structured as the LHGCL bye rules. I go this from their website....

Bye’s for the Premier League are the option of the league and will be setup each year by the Competitive Committee. The Commissioners shall have overall responsibility for all competitive leagues. Coeducational teams must play in a boy’s league.

Also, knowing the PYSA organization, it probably is very political. From my years of experience with PYSA there is not a group less interested in what is right, but focusing on their own self important agendas and egos. The people running things over there are some of the poorest characters I have ever run into, and I have dealt with leagues for more sports and organizations then I can count.

781- you seem to have an agenda against one of the LH D3 teams that was relegated...

Interesting statement but this is directly from PYSA's website.
All teams after registering for the PPL, must go to the Placement Tournament website and complete the Tournament Registration form. We will use this database to send out mass league emails.

For the Team History section of the application please enter your intentions for the Placement Games by entering one of these three things:

i. Playing in the Placement Games

ii. Received a BYE

iii. Not playing in the Placement Games, want to be in the Lowest Division

If your team received a BYE please put BYE and the place your team fell in the F12/S13 season in the team history section of the application. You must obtain N+1 as of an April 1, 2013 roster to qualify for the BYE.

So it seems to have an N+1

Oh no.. I absolutely have nothing against any LH D3 team I also mentioned PPl teams that did not have a n+1 returning team. Just trying to understand the rules. Mostly heard from teams that played ppl last season that are NOT on the bye list that say they will be getting a bye?????? AND I believe a couple teams actually on the bye list did not have n+1 returning but have told their parents they will be getting a bye. I guess wait and see.

Thanks for the info marvelousmar!
