I think Mustangs losing is the biggest surprise, hopefully they will bounce back in good fashion... Oh and then there is the July rain this morning - am I in Texas?

Is it just me or are the goals in Plano smaller then normal??

Rough night for Liverpool Callaghan and FC dallas Youth Black. Now that those hard teams are behind you... I wish you luck in the rest of the tourney.

What's funny is that both Mustangs and Solar Chelsea both appear to have been beneficiaries of massive jumps compared to where they were in the FBR. Just odd that you have two teams facing off against each other that at least according to the one tool that somewhat tracks where teams rate seemed to have benefited the most from the jump. So it basically looks like Sting G is playing three teams that essentially all rate in the 30-50 range. Who says it doesn't pay to skip the Tut and Puma

Not really shocked by anything else really. Suarez winning was about what I expected, was a little surprised that DTS only scored 5 againts Sting Cuevas. Definitely makes that pool more interesting, especially if Suarez can put up 6 or more goals and if DTS doesn't beat Sparta by more than a 2-0 margin. If that were to happen I believe all it would take is a tie in the DTS/Suarez game in order for Suarez to advance. Now I don't expect for all that to happen but it definitely leaves Suarez more options.

LP Elite scoring 10 isn't too surprising, from looking back at their record it seems like they have no problem scoring on lower ranked teams recently and then always score just enough to beat most of the Top 10.

I'm a little surprised Sting Sanchez didn't win by more than 2-0 vs GSSC Thunder. Sanchez shouldn't have any problems scoring on TX Spirit so it will set up a winner take all game with FCD Premier on Sunday.

It does suck for some of these teams, having to face any one of the Top 4 teams has to be a pretty daunting task. Hopefully they all keep their heads up and know that it's much easier from here on out.

Scores are kind of funny that you can only win by 8 but the other team can lose by 13. See SRSA v LP Callaghan and LP Elite v FCD Black.

Obviously this is the rules for max goals versus goal diff. I just did not realize they record them on gotscores site that way.
