Last year for 01G group, they chose about 100 players including approx. 10 goalies.SantaFe wrote:and how many goalies?
How many 02's showed up? I am sure the group is larger than last year since they are combining 02/03 this year.

My estimate: between 250 and 300 girls with 15 GK's last night.
Not sure if they combined the two age groups - they were keeping two seperate age lists at sign-in.

Yeah, I'd say about 250 too. and 15 goalies.

A pic taken from the 02/03 event last Sunday, this was before the 30-40 girls still in line jumped in...
There were still girls lined up to the right about 20-30 possibly more. Good group of girls and definitely some talent across the board. I would expect even more this coming Sunday as I have heard some folks were out of town for the first weekend of tryouts.
Good luck to all of the girls participating, such a great experience for them!

For the folks who debate if ODP is worth it - can't comment, but I can say last Sunday was worth it.
My daughter had a blast, met a lot of girls who she recognized from playing against them, but never knew thier names, and had a chance to compete individually instead of with a team.
At very least I would reccomend to all: pay the $75 for the try-out - you get three 3 hour mini camps and a T-shirt.
