CFBAL Playing Today

ALL games scheduled for CFBAL are playing at Cox and McInnish fields for Sunday, September 29th  

And again, showing why CFBAL is the clear choice for the Acadamy leagues. Don't make people repeatedly check a website or call into a hotline. Post it early and communicate which elevates all doubt.

I would go so far as to say that it alleviates all elevated doubts as well... 

Nicole hands down runs the best league.

As most of you know - I'm always at my league watching not only the incredible soccer, but seeing those amazing players each and every game get better and better - excel with such amazement!  What I witnessed today was the most UNBELIEVABLE header goal off a corner kick in the Sting Parson's vs Solar Game on Cox 3!! WAY TO GO!

Yes it was amazing, we all stood up and cheered, it was a sweet goal, I sure hope that Sting parent took her for Ice Cream!

Question: when is a top 05 team gonna get into a top 04 league to play with the "big girls"? Usually happens every age group. Who are the next super team?

Amazing to see header goal at this age

The header goal was awesome and the game itself was fun to watch.   It was nice to see Sting Central Parsons put up such a good fight against Solar Chelsea White - the game could have easily gone Sting's way.  They are improving, which is great, and is also making this Platinum division even that much more competitive.

Sting Scarfone is doing that as well.

Lady As are playing up but I wouldn't call that playing "in a top 04 league with the big girls".  They are playing pretty weak 04 competition and having no trouble with them.  Sting Scarfone is playing against even weaker teams.  In my mind with the close competition in the top 10 of the rankings, there is no super 05 team that should venture out against older girls.  Sure, that could happen at some point but you can't beat the CFBAL 05 competition right now.

I agree.  But the question was about 05s playing top 04 teams.  That's just not happening.  They are getting 11v11 experience, which is good but there is no competition with who they are playing.  SDL could be a different story but unless you are sitting there watching those games, you'd never know what happens because of the cone of SDL silence.

Yeah-yeah, i understood the question. Just making a comment on the 05's playing up in general. As to the lack of competition, playing in a new format it wouldn't seem prudent to stack against the best in that age group.......at least until the next season. Gotta get the idea first, then run with it.

Interesting read. I see valid positives to be taken from playing up, but not at the hightest level to work on things and perfect.

The older age group will usually provide faster, stronger players, yet in the lower divisions not the speed and strength of the top teams which would limit the success rate of the targeted skill set being worked on.

Play your true age and work on things can get you unfavorable results against your direct competitor, play down a division in your own age group will get the insults thown at you for running up the score.

Makes sense, move em up, test them a bit, but at a level to allow for success and build for tomorrow.
