NextGen 10/27/13 Practice Location Moved

NextGen practice for today Sunday 10/27/13 (1:30-3:30p) is still on. We have had to move the location to Dunlop Park, 1500 NW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76012 due to the field closings at Harold Patterson.

NextGen (www.ngssoccer.com) is a national league sanctioned by USL (uslsoccer.com) through USSF (www.ussoccer.com). After careful consideration, competitive U14B/U14G players who do not currently play for a Samba FC NextGen coach will be required to have a guest player release from their current coach to participate in NextGen.

The NextGen system will work in conjunction with the Olympic Development Program (ODP).

This inaugural year NextGen will only field U14 Boys and U14 Girls teams who will participate in scheduled events with other NextGen teams in the region and in tournaments in preparation for the National Tournament in April 2014.

We will travel to Bradenton, FL April 1-7, 2014 for the NextGen National Tournament where players will be evaluated by the staff at IMG Academy (www.imgacademy.com) and national team selectors. Events will include games, education and testing.

I still don't follow...Was there something in that original post that was questionable?? I don't remember there being anything controversial. It didn't affect my life that much, just got my curiosity peaked so that I don't say the magic word or something...

So whats the point of being banned if you can click the top and still see the message? What was so bad to get banned for anyway? I dont see it.

Maybe it was a PR stunt to get us all to look.

It was for repeated duplicate posts and adm1n's PMs to stop.  I have no problem with the content, just don't need the same post in 3 different groups. I had warned previously, it was ignored, so a short ban was in order.

I have heard nothing about this league nor the teams that have competed in it. This is the same information you posted a year ago with minor changes. Why is this the only buz throughout the year about this league?

What is the difference in this league over premiere league?

I looked at the various websites.
Samba has a '00 team that played in the lower division of an LP tournament - made the semi-finals.
I'm having trouble understanding how this equates to some higher level nationally-based competitive situation?

Is this NextGen for nontoptier teams? If so, that makes sense and is probably filling a void. If not, I just don't understand how it is set up and what the purpose is.

From the looks of things this program needs a lot of work. Just my opinion, but Samba needs to look to grow here in NTX considerably before putting too much time and money into a Florida based program.
