Michael Brown Winter Classic XIII

FC Dallas announces the Michael Brown Winter Classic XIII to be held on January 24-26, 2014. This event will take place at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas. The Michael Brown Winter Classic provides an opportunity for teams to prepare for the Spring U10-U14 league season by getting competitive games just prior to the start of league play.

Each team will be scheduled 4 games.
The cost for the U11-U14 teams is $595 and U10 teams is $425.
U10 teams will play 11v11 on a full-size field.
Games will be played Friday-Sunday with an additional day of tournament play reserved for Thursday evening if necessary

All Applications must be received by Friday, January 3rd, 2014.

Isn't soccer supposed to be fun? I see no fun in kids playing soccer in 16 degree weather, but that's just me. I'll be home next to the fire with a little anejo thinking about all of ya!

Who are the bigger idiots, the tournament directors who wont reschedule the games for tonight or the parents/coaches who taking their children to play?

I know the "macho" thing to say is its only cold air...im tough...look how cool i am....but then again we are dealing with a tournament who schedules Thursday night 8:30 pm games for 10-11 yr old girls....on a school night (not everyone lives in the bubble of Frisco/McKinney).  Not to mention the older girls who also have middle school sports on Thursday nights.

I know we applied..if you dont like it dont play..etc etc...just seems to me logic would kick in...but then again we are dealing with Club soccer.
