Skills and 1v1 Challenge

Always a good time and worth the cost--my DD has done several of these. Ferdie and his coach helpers focus on teaching them only 1v1 foot skills to find space to then shoot or pass. The 1v1 moves are then practiced against other players. I like that players must do a foot skill before they can score or pass so it forces kids to slow down and work on their moves. Doing these clinics at least once a year I now see my DD using these things almost all the time--I did not always see her use them immediately after a clinic but definitely, cumulatively, I now see her still using some things she learned there 3 years ago. Also, the method is positive and fun but also serious/competitive. Kids are not allowed to goof off--they must work hard. But if they are trying hard then even if your child is more a Rec level player they will benefit and be equally encouraged--the coaches will make sure that your player is not simply "over run" by a more skilled player as may happen at club practices--I like that part too.
