EC Mavericks Elite 05G are not in the ranking. They are currently playing Arlington PAL in the U10 Silver bracket. Can they be added to the rankings..

I need games against '05 teams to get them into the '05 rankings. When teams play up in age group, it is do difficult to get and accurate SoS relative to the teams in their own age group.

Wind could have payed a big role in some of these scores. Crazy gusts yesterday!

Both teams had to contend with those gusts.  Not sure we can give them too much credit or blame.

Not giving credit or or blame, just making an obvious statement. I know both teams had to deal w the same wind, but the ball can do crazy things w the crazy wind. It was just an observation not an excuse.

In two seperate games yesterday I saw 2 goals in each one that were just crazy "launch it and watch it" type goals... You'd see the young lady kick the ball and it'd just keep going, and going, and going and...GOAL! Wind is a factor most defintely and all teams do have to contend with it (any adverse conditions are I suppose...). It just seems that some reap the benefits while others do not. Mother nature is tricky when she comes off the bench! :-)

The way I see it, if a 9 year old can score from midfield? That's almost better than working it down and scoring. I Saw an amazing goal yesterday in the late game. Sting Diaz Girl hit it from right midfield about 40 yards and over the keepers head in the goal, in the air. I bet all us has beens or never will Bee's on this forum couldn't do that wind or no wind!!! Lol!!!

Yeah, that was an Awesome Goal. I know I couldn't do it. Them Sting Diaz Girls are Playing some Great soccer right now.  

I saw that one! As soon as it left her foot I was like, "That's tracking right at the goal!" (cue $6 Million Dollar man sound...)

That's a really good group of young ladies. Very entertaining game to watch.

Diaz is a very good team! Crazy skilled, but that game yesterday wasn't over until the last minute of the game. Fun game to watch and well played on both sides.

A goal is a goal, but at this age a goal scored from that range is pure luck. Sounds as if she booted it and it happened to end up on target and in the back in the net. I don't think there is a good coach out there that would promote booting the ball from 30+ yards in hopes of the wind catching it and possibly scoring. Nothing to brag about from a parent or coach perspective, but to the kid that scored the goal she will be talking about it for months and she should!

On another note Diaz wins with or without the wind as a factor. Those girls can play and definitely belong in the top 5.

Was that goal in the first half or the second?  I couldn't stay out there for the late games.

I know that the wind was a factor but my point was that both sides had to fight it.  If you had it in the first half, you wanted to take advantage of it and score as much as you could.  Then when you were going against it in the second half you held on as best you could not to give up too many/any goals.  If you were against it to start the game, you tried to get to halftime in a tie or with a small deficit to overcome.  In many ways, it makes the game more exciting and strategic but can also be a bear.  But that's soccer in NTX.

I agree, game came down to the end. Well played by both Sides. I thought the 2 GK's played great. Both had to make some unbelievable saves.

The long shot was in the first half with the wind. Sting Diaz scored two against the wind in the second half.
