Re: ECNL National Championship
As an over view and summary of all of Nationals, this is what I broke down.
U14.
Yes, the Hawks did dominate the group. I'm not sure we are overly surprised that they won but some of the scores did raise an eyebrow or two. I guess if you are going to lose at Nationals, it might as well be to the eventual winner.
Overall, 32 teams advanced out of bracket play between U14 and U18. the 14's and 18's also completed the finals as well.
There are 7 ECNL Conferences. The Mid Atlantic Conference got shut out. Of the 32 teams that advanced,
6 were from the Northeast
PDA (5)
Albertson Fury
2 from the Southeast
Crossfire
GSA
7 Texas
Texas Rush
Sting (2)
Texans (2)
Lonestar
FCD
7 Midwest
Eclipse (2)
Hawks (2)
Real Colorado (3)
1 Northwest
DeAnza dribble
9 So Cal
West Coast FC (2)
SoCal Blues (2)
San Diego Surf (3)
Real SoCal
Slammers
What does all that mean? I really have no idea. I see that there are some very consistent clubs out there.
Out of 76 Clubs in ECNL, clubs advancing at Nationals were 17. Also looks like PDA is the early favorite for top club.
Five titles to be awarded. PDA and Hawks each have 1

Then wouldn't that mean they would be playing against the Texans for the National Championship... LOL
What you meant to say was that Solar 98 is playing in the North American League Finals. But still great achievement for Solar 98 considering where they were at last year..

Re: ECNL National Championship
In actuality, Sting 96 finished 2nd three times and 3rd one time from 2010-2013.
2nd to MVLA in 2010. Lost in PKs in Final.
3rd in 2011. No goals scored against them at Finals.
2nd to Slammers in 2012. Up 2-0 in second half. Lost 3-2.
2nd to PDA in 2013.
One hell of a run.
