00 Yeah, it is finally time to pick your D3 winners!

The soccer drought is over! We have our first games of the new season. Take your picks people!   

My overall prediction is that D3 will be significantly more competitive this year...I think a 3 game winning or losing streak will be a rarity. Because the girls are in high school now, the schedule will be unbalanced, so there may be 12 games in the fall (per LH history).

I think any one of the teams could win it with some luck, and all the teams could be beaten by any other...and while that is always the case, I mean I don't see that many underdogs-I see a pretty even field.

I would have to disagree. If I recall correctly, this past season there were like 4 or so teams at the top separated by like 3 points or something, which I would think is pretty competitive and then somewhat even through the middle until you got to the very bottom. Although I agree with the general premise that "all the teams could be beaten by any other", I think it would take a whole lotta luck for "any one of the teams" to be able to win it all. I believe there will be two or three at the top that will separate themselves from the rest of the pack, though I also believe there will be no winless teams this season.

Actually, I have to agree with Dad. The team dynamics have changed, not only with the new blood in the division but also within team changes. New team mixes take some development over a bit of time. I think that all teams in the division will be more competitive given the QT results and a few tournaments that have been played so far. I don't think there will be as much of a distance between the top team and the bottom team ranks.

I may be proved wrong, but I think that there could be a very tight division score wise.

But I'll piggy back off of Do3.
IMO the re qualifiers ,Gunners/Flash, and the new crews, Sporting/ Liverpool , strengthen the lower half.
These clubs having just gone through the QT will fight tooth and nail to not have to go through it again.
With the 2000s reaching High School age, mixed in with experience. Nobody will rest on their laurels.
Nobody can hide . No more soft brackets.

That was my thought. I don't actually think every team will have a win a loss and a tie after three games...I just don't think that anyone will lap anyone else.

My favorite to win is fever...I think that 2-8 will be tough. I don't think anyone is a pushover, and if you approach a game as an easy win...hmmm peril.

I definitely agree with your last sentence. That's the mental trap athletes of all ages fall into.
