Lake Highlands All-Star Team Empty Lake Highlands All-Star Team

Should Lake Highlands have an all-star team honors at the end of the year? Scouting done by league officials, coaches allowed only two recommendations from their own team. Maybe a coaches nominated version, based on performance for the year (no coach can vote for their own team players). Why doesn't LH have an All Star Honors program in place?

Three or four blogs ago, someone did that by polling the coaches (supposedly). The ensuing conflagration made the wildest threads on here look tame.

Disagree.

I've known a few highly talented D1 players who did not seek out ECNL due to either the travel requirements, the costs, or the inability to play other sports. I don't think ECNL soaks up all the LHGC uber-talent.

I agree but I also think naming an all-star team should never be done. Let the play of the players and teams speak for itself and keep politics out of it.

BWG, Using your logic regarding ECNL, then Major League indoor soccer shouldn't have an all star honors sytem, because MLS has one?   You guys are so wrapped up into all things ECNL that any question (not related to ECNL) becomes all about ECNL.  (and your DD isn't even in ECNL) .  Even so, doesn't ECNL have some type of recognition at the end of the season (Besides the ECNL Champion).  

Again, why doesn't LH have an all league player honors at the end of the season?   and for those people saying that there were be too much politics, etc.  This is freaking America,  where we use to celebrate excellence.   When the germans bombed Pearl Harbor I don't remember any one asking if  the number of bombs was fair given the square footage of pearl harbor...*

It was two years before the Berlin Wall was taken down due to the French victory over East Germany. It was November 9, 1989.
