Dual rostering Empty Dual rostering

When a player is rostered on two teams within the same club, it seems pretty straightforward how things work. But how about when a player is rostered with a non-ECNL team and dual rostered with an ECNL team, especially in cases of discovery players (ie. the OFC player rostered with Sting).

How are practices handled? Do these players train only with the non-ECNL squad and then travel to games?

What are the fees when dual rostered this way?

Good question, hopefully we have some parents on here that currently have or had dual roster DD that can provide you and others insight.

I know of a discovery player that was only asked to pay for her uniform. She was local and was asked to attend all ECNL practices as a priority over her other non ECNL team.

Another discovery girl I know of is not local and attends only games. I assume the financials are the same here as well.

Question: So if you are rostered on an ECNL team, also have d1 & d2 teams in LHGCL.
Do you HAVE TO play for one of those teams as a dual rostered player...or can you be dual rostered with another CLUB altogether in LHGCL?

ex: you are rostered on ECNL FCD can you play LHGCL for SOLAR d1?

OR must it be within the same club?
ENCL FCD & LHGCL FCD D1/D2?

I know they don't have to be dual rostered, but IF i wanted to...

separate roster sanctioning......................so answer is yes..........................this is possible to do and i know players that have done it

Yes, it can be, and has been, done.  Need coaches on both sides with good perspective and good communication.

Also, typically doesn't last longer than a year. If the kid is good enough to get significant minutes in ECNL games, they will end up migrating to ECNL full-time.

SO, COACHES must agree to let the player do that?
OR it doesn't matter since they are different altogether NTX soccer & US CLUB?

Technically, no the coaches don't have to agree on it.

Realistically, if the coaches aren't in the middle, what do you think is going to happen to the player the first time there is a direct conflict between a practice and/or a game for the 2 teams?

There are a few dual rostered within her same club, but i don't know of any girls on one of my daughters older ECNL teams who play for a different club's NTX team. The coordination and time/resource commitment would be a bear. It's killing her just to also run school cross country. There are a few girls we don't know well yet, some of them might do it. maybe it's easier done on a younger ECNL team?
