I clicked on that link and something jumped out that does not line up with your statement.unbiased wrote:Not taking anything away from Solar, never seen them play, but TopDrawer is nothing but a puppet mouthpiece for ECNL.

Giving up zero goals with that kind of scoring distribution is a big statement. Its looking like Texas conference ecnl is as top heavy as predicted, but by U15 I wouldn't surprised if we end up with at least 3 NTX teams in the topdrawer top 10.

Take the DFW area for example and using the roughly 70 different girls that tried out for Feet as the median. That means roughly 350 of the presumably top 450 DFW 01's tried out for ECNL, (I do understand some tried out for multiple teams). That equates to about 20 teams. Do you think maybe that that waters down the rest of the area teams? Should TopDrawer spend their resources searching for the few Kicks 01' teams out there, (they do recognize Kicks, TopHat,
70 girls showed up to feet tryouts so the area is watered down and feet is stacked? Were tryouts invitation only? Not sure I follow...u trying to give me a laugh since I made you chuckle? LOL. Ok you got me.
Topdrawer will recognize non ecnl teams until u15...after that it becomes nearly all ECNL. I see the socal bias when NTX 01 teams drop like a rock if they lose a game (i.e. Texans and Sting) while socal teams with equivalent or worse results remain highly ranked (blues, slammers).
And I call them the mouthpiece because ECNL marketing campaigns hit topdrawer front page simultaneously with ecnl site, and ecnl links a TON of their content direct to topdrawer articles written by topdrawer staff. Its brilliant marketing, but I would be surprised if there is no shared ownership or other financial relationship between ECNL and Topdrawer.
That said, their rankings are far better than gotsoccer and its northeast points shams, and solar deserves kudos for turning heads with their start to ECNL. Hopefully there will be plenty avenues for the others to join the party before the year is out. Should be at least 4 Ntx in top 15 if the area maximizes its potential, and maybe there's a slim chance the rest of the "watered down" leftovers find the strength to carry on.
