UAL field status this weekend

We knew there would be some growing pains with the merger between UAL & CFBAL, and the City of McKinney Parks Department has done nothing to help Nicole - and we're only in February! I'm blown away that games for this Saturday and Sunday are postponed already. The forecasters told us we were a slam dunk to get 2-4 inches of snow today - seriously? In my opinion, it's absolutely ridiculous to call games 4-5 days in advance...what's the real story here? 
This is one of the main reasons why UAL failed in the past - because the cities called games, and make-ups never occurred. I know Nicole will do the best she can to work with this mess, but C'MON MAN!
The message below was sent out just after 9:00am this morning:

Just McKinney & Allen. Traveling, have you stepped in your front yard bro? Mine is a sloppy mess and the weather coming in the next two days ain't drying it out. Some of those craig ranch fields are a mess with a quarter inch of rain. I'm not surprised by the early cancellation.

No argument that it's wet, and even with no more precip, it will probably be too wet to play. The forecast doesn't look good, but to call Saturday & Sunday games early on Wednesday morning is a stretch by any measure. Weather forecasts at this time of year can be wildly inaccurate, and I'd like to see McKinney at least give this weekend a chance before calling it so early. Any other league cancelled their weekend games yet? Probably not til Friday afternoon.
McKinney has traditionally been one of the first leagues to cancel with any hint of rain, and they are holding par for the course.

None of the leagues want to cancel and reschedule, but they are at the mercy of the cities. Last forecast I saw called for snow on Friday and rain on Saturday.

Would much rather have games canceled early so alternative plans can be made. This is much better than waiting until 7am on Saturday morning to confirm cancelations when the forecast has all along called for rain on both Saturday and Sunday.

Well Traveling Light, CFB is on your list now too! They axed the Friday & Saturday games for Cox, McKinnish & Good today.

Just wait until your dd gets a little older. Games being cancelled will start to be GREAT NEWS!!
Did traveling light really go hard on this post. The best thing to do was to cancel ASAP with the current forecast for the weekend.
It is not the end of the world. Even more funny, there is a post going on right now on the site about blaming Leagues and somehow Refs for playing in bad (too cold) weather conditions.

Are the ganes still on this weekend? Wish did something indoor instead with the weather. Our 3v3 got canceled due to bad weather already.

UAL was smart to only guarantee 6 games, because bad weather happens.

We are forecast for two full days of rain Wednesday and Thursday this week.... could next weekend be canceled also?
