2015-2016 Lake Highland '01 Final Standings and Thoughts

The season is complete and in the can. Which team or teams were your biggest surprise? Not so much as a surprise for me as I have seen this team many, many times, but Sting North finished LH D2 in first place a year ago and now in the top four says a lot about their development and staying power. Their roster has been pretty steady for several years. Same can be said about Texans Black. FC Dallas was a surprise this year. I think early losses and having their schedule front loaded may have done that team a disservice as they maybe didn't have as much time to gel together as other teams who had a more spread out schedule. Teams that had an almost complete roster revamp like Texans Dallas and Andromeda had varying levels of success. And then Teams Like Kicks, Solar Red, and Texas Spirit continue to maintain their high level of play year in and year out. With the change in LH Division structure for 2015-2016, it looks like it resulted in shaking out the D1 Teams into stronger competition for the long run going into 2016-2017. Or am I delusional?

This year was a good resetting of the D1 and D2 divisions, and a good reminder that the current relegation and promotion rules do NOT result in the top teams all playing in D1.
