What I meant is I think that of the big 4, I think that most are playing AP. 04s moved to 04 teams and 03s moved to 03 teams.

Back to the original discussion point of this thread....LHGCL predictions. My money is also on LP Elite running the table in D1. They have reloaded.

They may have reloaded but is the caliber of that ammo the same?

Well you could also ask is the quality of the targets as high. I still think it may have less to do with elite and more to do with the 03 teams staying 03. What kind of quality will the big bring? Have they had a talent drain from ECNL. The TSC team from supercopa was a shadow of its former self. As a ecnl club really looks like it took its toll on them. Will the same happen here or the bigger talent pool suffice.

I agree....I heard that more than half the team left which included their top 3 players. You can't replace that. They will be lucky to finish in the top half in league play.

Lol. Sorry to disappoint peeps, but you can't believe everything you hear. I don't know what the ultimate quality of the team will be, only time will tell, but I can tell you that they have not lost their top 3 players, far from it. It's careless for you to spread that, unless you have an agenda. It's also silly to predict that they will not finish in the top half in league play.

And Sheets my friend, rearmed might be a better description, thus it's not about the caliber of the ammo, but about the type of weapon. Lol

Yes my friend you are correct. I know of one weapon they picked up that many will be hard pressed to defend against.

Wow looks like knks joined elite. And to be fair really if sheets has an agenda then he would be no different than you just the opposite side. Elite will show what it can do on the field. Will they be different? Of course they will, the style was already changing and with some personnel changes it will be different. Better or worse remains to be seen. I still think where they finish will have more to do with the quality of the 03 teams coming down from the bigs. Anyway I'm not sold on bottom half finish yet

It was Peeps not Sheets I was referring to, but to correct you, I don't have an agenda. Opinion yes, agenda no - unless an opinion and an agenda are synonymous.

When you paint someone else's opinion with the agenda brush it tends to get some on yours too

Hear we GO again. Read my post. I said "unless you have an agenda" and that was a thought I posed in reference to a statement made as if it was fact about the top 3 players leaving. The prediction of bottom half finish I referred to as just being silly. Enough said on this.

Actually what you said was "I can tell you that they have not lost their top 3 players, far from it. It's careless for you to spread that, unless you have an agenda."

So first top 3 players is an opinion for both you and him. Then you described that opinion and them leaving as either careless or agenda. Now given your histories on Elite I could suggest that infact you both have at least a small agenda. Either way bottom half seems a little silly and would certainly be a catastrophic result. I have them finishing no lower than 3rd (more based on the original 03 teams and elite being an 04 team) but more likely competing for first. But nobody knows of course until after signing and when the final product shows itself.

Wow, "far from it"...something to ponder. I, for one, definitely think Elite reloaded and I think the girls will be quite formidable. I'll go down as saying they come in first again. I don't think, however, you have to belittle the skills and contributions of girls who have been on that team for five years and started every game and scored hundreds of goals to make it clear that Elite replaced top talent with top talent from other teams. Elite is made up of great girls, a great coach and great families. I know your dd will have a great time.

Wow what? I did not belittle the skills and contributions of any of the girls that left. It is those skills and contributions that helped set a standard of excellence unparalleled in the age group. After rereading my post, the only two things I can think of that someone could find offensive first in my saying that the top 3 haven't left is if someone who left feels their kid was one of the top 3 or secondly my use of the phrase "far from it". The phrase was not intended to denigrate the talent of any player who left, but to complement the quality of the players who remained for those who want to suggest the team has dropped in quality before the first game has even been played.

may not be what you meant but it is what you wrote. Not only were any girls who left NOT in the top they were in fact far from it. Which I would suppose puts them closer to the bottom 3. But either way it is just a matter of opinion and really what elite is and what the new team is will be decided on the field.
