Was D'feeters 05 ECNL in Houston this past weekend?

THere was a DASH tournament in HOuston this past weekend. A D'feeters 05 team played the DASH05 DA team. Was that the D'F ecnl team? It is listed on the schedule as D'Feeters Kicks Selecao 05. What was the score of the game that will answer that question.

Dash DA say it was ecnl.

Not sure if this was the Feet ECNL team but I did hear the DA programs were allowed to have their 04's play down or it was the other way around and Feet were told in advance they will be playing up.

I wonder why it wasn't posted as the ECNL team that's odd? Probably just a typo.

Could have been JM D1 team. I talked to him briefly in Houston but never inquired which version of the 05's he was coaching.

Sounds like a typo to me. Frostproof just joined the party sounds like he was there and wanted to shed light on the typo.

There may be more foreshadowing than meets the eye.

Dash DA 05 is legit . They are top 11 05 soccer athletes (note: not just athletes) in Houston that moved to Dash from different clubs  I personally know those kids and they play clean soccer.

No disrespect to any Dallas teams , they can compete against any 05 teams herein Dallas . They were all playing 04s until last season.   Don’t think any Dallas DA team has beaten them either.

It was the ECNL team.
DFeeters beat Dash about 6 months ago. Dash returned the favor last weekend.
Both were close games, and both are very good teams.

Makes sense , they just formed 6 months back and were coming from different clubs.

Nah.  Usually the simplest explanation is the correct one.
Which means Frostproof is with Challenge and has an agenda to try and bash Dash. There is still a lot of bad blood between the Houston clubs.

For a squad that had to bring in 04s to play they should keep their banter to that sorry STX forum.... And yes 04s played for Dash.

You would think the one and only Houston DA team would be dominant (Rise doesn’t count).  They aren’t. Sheep claims they are a new team, but they seem to be the old Rush team for the most part. Am I mistaken?  Fine team, but nothing special. And they have lost to Dallas GDA teams - a couple of times at least.  Wins against Texans U13 “GDA” team don’t count either. STX is a mess. Yes they can compete against the Dallas top teams, but straight up, Feet beats them 8 out of 10.

Dash had little success pulling in players from around the city in the U15-19 age groups. Those teams are basically "Rush" teams.
From U10-U14, they have been quite successful in bringing in new talent.  Their 08 through 04 teams are all pretty good and are all "new" teams. Their 05 through 08 teams are by far the best in Houston. The 05s just beat 05 Feet and are toward the top of the DA division. Their 06 City team will be a solid DA team next year.  Their 07 City team just played fairly even games against Solars top two 07 teams.  Their 08 South are the first U10 team in a decade that wouldn't get stomped by top 5 Dallas teams.
As a whole,  Houston soccer still sucks,  but Dash is closing the gap a bit on us at the younger ages.

But straight up, out of 10 games (without using 04s), what does Dash DA do against Feet ECNL U13? I think Feet gets the better of them 8 out of 10.

Dash clearly has the top teams in the younger ages, but they should be better given the population. Very little depth past top teams in each age bracket - even when they put together their “City” teams. Admit it’s unfair to just look at size of Houston, but by U12/U13, you’d expect to see better consolidation of talent despite the hardships of Houston traffic. Dallas seems to do better with 3-5 clubs spread across a large geographic area, but H-town can only put forward one good team in each age bracket.

We mostly agree. Dash didn't play any 04s in that game (one 05 that usually plays with the 04s), but Feet would be likely be favored more often than not.

Why did they represent themselves as a D1 team and not ECNL? Does this mean their ECNL team will be in the D1 slot this Spring to build from the back?

The Foreshadowing. Who cares about the game down south one damn game. The walls are shaken. Whistle britches Zizou says JDL gone and the wolfs are coming back to nest in LH.

Dash is a solid team, and yes they did play some 04's. The game was competitive. Good soccer from Dash.

Ummmmm, so, Solar DA 05 beat Dash DA 05 in Houston yesterday 5-0.  No disrespect to Dash, but maybe they had a bunch missing with the flu?

I understand Solar DA 05 was up 4 - nil at halftime to Houston Dash DA 05.  What was final score?

U15 div so nobody was technically playing down. Yes Feet team. Yes Dash had some 04 players on the 05 team for Feet game and maybe the other games too, cant speak for the other games. Good team though.
