Texas Lightning 08 Girls-Open practice and tryouts

Texas Lightning 08 Girls are looking for a couple of dedicated girls to join our team. Practice is Tuesday/Thursday at 7:00 at Webb Community Park (1100 Mansfield Webb Rd, Arlington, TX 76002). Tryouts are July 1 (2:30-4:00), and July 2, 3 and 5 (6:00-7:30) at Harold Patterson Sports Complex, Field #s 21, 22 and 23.

We are currently playing indoor and have a couple of outdoor tournaments (including a beach tournament) scheduled before the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League Qualifying Tournament July 24-29.

We have a group of fun loving girls, and parents that go out of their way to help these girls build relationships off the soccer field. Our coach is unique in that she pushes the girls to become their best, but her #1 goal is to make sure the girls enjoy the game. Our coach is the daughter in law of the owner of the club, and her husband has a few boys teams. 3 of his teams recently qualified for the Classic League. So, you can be sure our coach is not going to jump ship as you see all the time with the big clubs. We have different fund raising methods to help keep cost down. Some of our older select girls have all their fees paid through fund raising.
