The Best Coaches at each Club List

Foxy has been thinking, with all the crappy coaches out there why not list the best coaches at each club to give a little credit. Feel free to add to the list, good stuff for newbies.

Should probably get a list and do a poll. We can then give an award to each winner, like voted best coach of the board of 2018. Then they can put 2018 winner of coveted VBCB award on their bio. This is gonna be great!

CN has taken his Solar 02 girls to a regional final with zero guest players and no CPP utilized.

Off the top of my head, 4. This list is like a box of chocolates. A few caramels (the real deal), a few cremes (the ones the kids bite and put back in the box) and a few nuts (the ones they won't go near).

Tatu (ECNL Natty with his '97's, '98's lost in the finals), Grubb (ECNL Natty in 2017 with the '01's), Martinez (Lost in 2015 USYSA National Final with Kicks '01), and Pulp (Lost in 2016 U13 USYSA National Finals w/SRSA)

Gutierrez took her U14's to the ECNL Final Four this year, lost in the Semi's, then won the consolation game.

Several others not on this list as well - Solca, Medina, Powers (Natty on the boys side many years back with Andromeda), Nazari, sure I'm leaving others out - have Natty's or at least Finals appearances and are still coaching girls teams in NTX.

Always wondered why the initials.

The coaches don't mind thinking they are worth an extra thousand or 2 a year so why do we feel an obligation to not spell out their names?

The system is broken and coaches have led that c(r)ash and burn as much as anyone. No reason to protect coaches from blame or praise.

How big of a list do you want the "best coaches at each club" to be?

Nobody said the names not on the list are all crappy coaches (and some would argue that some of the names on this list are crappy coaches - or at least a coach that they would never let their kid play for).

Add to the list if you think it's appropriate.

'Best' depends on the list of criteria you are using.

If you want to put out the criteria you are using and attributes in a coach that you think make them the best you will get all the names you could ever want and more.

As a side bonus you will get peoples opinion of your criteria.

If you want to sit back and have everything handed to you on a golden on-line platter, then yup, that might just be it.

If you want to get actively engaged in your DD's future and do your own legwork, you'll find that living in DFW, you have a lot more options than most in this country do. Most, if not all, have pros and cons that you'll have to weigh in your decisions. Not to mention that the best fit today, may or may not be the best fit 1, 2, or 5 years from now.

Someone is confusing "Best" with "best coaches to develop your DD". Some coaches are abusive. They may win, but at what price for your DD's self-esteem???
