Can anyone explain why the rules for keeping a bye are stricter in Plano Premier than in Lake Highlands? In Plano, a team has to retain at least half of their team from the previous season, whereas a coach can build a team from nothing and inherit a LH bye that was earned by a completely different set of girls. Does anyone else see the insanity in this?!?

What does that have to do with the byes? It just doesn’t seem logical. It makes PPL seem like a truer account of a team’s ability. Thus, it makes LH more to be a title/ name game than an actual ability measure.

There's also no Club Player Pass or 25 person rosters. You live and die by your roster but its not glamorous as saying your kid plays in LH when you post on Facebook or Instagram.

90 percent of the posts looking for players is in LH that's should give you a clue.

Spots that dont fill can be dual rostered 12 is the magic number to keep the business going. LH works like a well oiled machine. Based on the 90 percent posts every year. I wonder what the turn over percentages are annually. Does anyone have those numbers.

This definitely makes a previous conversation I had make more sense. I talked to a high school coach who said that she has players from LH and PPL both, along with ECNL, etc. I was honestly a little surprised to hear her say PPL after reading this forum, but knowing that is the difference in the byes and the actual accountability of skill vs just a name, her logic makes sense.

When it comes to tournies, any team that pays up can play, correct? I don't recall ever hearing a tourney say, “you don’t play LH; you can’t play!”
